This country is becoming something else. With the current high house rent increase and bills, we pray we survive it.

I was just thinking out loud. For someone earning 100k salary monthly, staying in 650k-800k house, what's your strategy towards your house rent payment?
Knowing that you still have more bills to cater for monthly.

How do you save? What percentage do you save in a month?

With the little Salary been paid, Salary earners, how do you plan towards your current house rent payment?

A colleague was joking telling us, he's considering relocating to the village to start farming and staying in a free family apartment........hmmmmm

That was a very stupid plan for anyone earning 100k and living in an apartment of 650 to 800k yearly
Your annual rent should not be more than your 2 months salary, for any wise person

a reasonable person earning 100k doesn't have a business staying in 650k house

That's madness, case closed

Two months of my salary covers my annual rent.

Anyday my landlord increases it, I move.

Until I build my own

A friend told me for those who work in the Civil Service, they don't live on their salary. They live on "Baba gb 'ope wa" some term for rubbing the hand of staff to get the needed access you need.

In the abroad, people get into relationships so they can split bills or they rent a room in the house to someone to augment.

Bros even if you earn 350k monthly , you have no business staying in a crib worth 650k to 800k for Tinubu regime.

What if the Landlord keeps increasing the house rent to like #450k. How will the person go about it with just #100k as salary?
