Its like all the ENT specialist in Nigeria are in one cult that never gives a cure. Mine is Otis media, infection of the middle ear, where haven't I gone to over the past 14 years, from the teaching hospital in my state to neighboring ones down to National hospital Abuja,I just kukuma accepted reality, clean any discharges and try to pay attention when listening. ENT specialist need to really step up their games.

How long have you had it, mine started last year August. I have spent so much money visiting the Teaching Hospital in my state so I just stop going to the hospital and praying for God's healing.

I take strugeron anytime I sense the dizzinesss but try as much as possible not to take it all time. I haven't taken it in one months. There are days I feel the dizziness but not intense.

I don't think it has a medical cure, you just have to manage it. I'm still going to try another ENT doctor very soon.

My mother take that Stugeron. She's the reason I know about the drug and she's been on the medicate for more than too decades. I think it treats general case of Vertigo.

Recently, I experience dizziness that became persistent and lasted for few days. It was accompanied by nauseous feeling and I think its similar to my moms complaint whenever she experiences it. I was worried whether I'm not being attacked by something genetically linked.

As the symptoms persisted, I did a few online research and stumbled on a helpful medical advice. My conditions was similar to what the journal described as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. BPPV affect the inner ear and sometimes results from sleep position. The article suggested a therapy knowñ as Eplay Manoeuvre. You can Google search that if you think there is any similarities with my experience. Eplay Manoeuvre is simple and can be done to correct the misplacement in either ear. I did as suggested and got immediate relief. Few hours later, I felt normal. I've experienced that again few months after the first time and Eplay Manoeuvre was my resort.
.
The Therapy required you to first sit upright at the edge of your best. This is just for positional sake. Your hand relaxed. Place a pillow behind you on the bed in such a way that when you lay on your back, the pillow will be at your shoulder level. Whilst still sitting, bend your head at angle 45 degree, that means sideways but not completely flat at your shoulder level. In that position, rest your back on the pillow behind you. the pillow at shoulder level. Your head must remain bend at 45 degree. You know in this case, your head will be tilted more backward. Wait a few minutes ( you can Google search for the duration but everything doesn't take more than 10 minutes I guess) . After few minutes in this state, if your head is bending towards the left, change your posture by turning 90 degree and laying on your side. Remain in the position for few minutes. You can repeat the procedure for the other ear. I think I've provided much of the tip but you need Google search for a more detail procedure

It happened to me last year due to head injury which affected my ear nerves.
I never walked straight without resting on something after 1 or 2 poles. I always get get tired easily and breathes very fast if walk a little longer. I was always drowzing!

I took so many advised medication, both medical and traditional remedies just to get myself.

Though it also affected my hearing. But by God's grace i have to japa for better treatment.

Get 2 bulb garlic bulb. Bite a chunk out of it, insert it in the outer ear such that it won't fall in.Wear a headphone on it or bandage. Do this two or three times daily.
You can also cut a small onion into two and ace on the outer ear and wrap a towel around it for a while.
I am speaking from 2022/2023 experience.
I was always on bike, scared of walking even the shortest distance.

You can also put a drop of hydrogen peroxide that can be gotten from the pharmacy.
I also put a drop of clean, original palm kernel oil once and again.

Wow,When I had this it was very scary ,at a point I felt it was an heart issue ,I
Went for an ecg, went for a ct scan I was fine ,i just discovered I was having slight ringing then I felt like my world was spinning,I was able to pin it down to loud music while in the gym ,the headset I used wasn’t an original version and I always blasted on the highest volume for
3 hours to 4 hours while I work out at the gym ,one day I was on the thread mill and there was a big building in front of the gym I tried looking up and that was it ,I was dizzy and had to stop running if not I was going to fall,I taught it was hunger pangs I went to eat ,still didn’t feel better it was so bad I cudnt drive myself to
The hospital the first time I went to complain to a gp,but they ddnt have a clue even after I complained and did all the test.

I then decided to visit an ent and that’s when I heard what’s it’s called for the first time BPPV ( Benign Parosyxmal positional vertigo ) there is a also menerhis disease which has almost similar symptoms with Bppv as well but menerhis comes with hearing loss ,eventually I did some ear test, tynphanometry and another one I can’t the name and I had no hearing loss,my hearing was fine ,so menhiers was ruled out.

I did the epleys maneover in the hospital under the guidance of the ENT and I felt better ,she prescribed stugeron, betahistine hydrochloride and nicotinic acid for two weeks and I felt a whole lot better ,I also did the vestibular exercises which needed me to adjust my body to refocus,I was told the vestibular exercises would help me reposition the calcium crystals in the ear and get it back to its position .

I also spoke to my doctor gp friend and when I told him he mentioned too much screen time too also is a risk factor and makes it worse ,so he advised I reduced my screen time ,reduce my phones light especially when in a dark area ,also my sleeping position I was asked to sleep by my side and never on my neck ,avoid alcohol and caffeine and eat healthy foods .

I have done this for 1 and half months now and I have not taken those drugs again ,I still feel like that some times but once I do the vestibular exercise prescribed I feel a lot better and can carry out my days activity without any worry or fear .My doctor friend told me eventually my body readjust and I’ll be fine .

Of course no loud music, avoid clubs, lounges with loud music as those are the triggers once you have already have it and am sure you would be fine,so good to share this ,something as basic as this could cost people their lives if not properly managed, also to mention that before I saw the ent and the vertigo was very much I had to use a tablet of low does aspirin and when I told the ent about it she mentioned that Bppv also comes with accumulation of fluid in the ear and the low dose aspirin helped reduced this accumulation hence the relief I felt.

Lastly I forgot to mention I had to go traditional too which I won’t advise ,but I was desperate for a solution ,I used the water from a specie of snail I pressed it down in its shell and squeezed few drops into my ear ,this was prescribed by someone with similar issue ,not sure the science behind this but I know snail
Water is very medicinal so why not ,I had nothing to loose I just wanted to feel better and be able to carry out my day to day activity ,I used it for 5 days and stopped though .I can’t say if it worked ,it was very pricey one snail specie was sold for 5k I bought 4 at 20k ,I think I used only one or two .

I also chewed garlic when I felt this way 2 bulbs of garlic and it sends fire to my system,I must say garlic is very medicinal ,it really helped with that feeling of dizziness anytime I used it. It was just the smell that couldn’t make me use everytime.

I hope all this life hack helps someone feeling like this way and I wish you quick recovery.

Today will make it, 3 weeks I've had it.
I've been to an ENT doctor and he diagnosed me with vestibular system disorder.
Prescribed some drugs including strugeron..... right now I don't get dizzy any more.
Just that I notice while walking....I tend to sway like I'm drunk..
Did random research online found stuff like vestibular neuritis....I think it's the stuff I'm suffering.
I have no hearing loss, no clicking sound in the ear.... just sudden imbalance..
I'm improving though, I'm sorry to hear your story.
God heal us soon, this stuff is so scary.
Same here,I'm managing it. I feel Imbalance most when I get off moving vehicle. I have gone through online therapy, after improvement it keeps reoccurring.

It took me falling seriously sick to understand that humans were not built to do certain things.

The ears are not built to hear things at such close range. When I had mad anxiety and music would play from my speaker, I'd immediately get dizzy and I broke it down to understanding that my body was freaking out that someone was singing but how is that possible if I'm alone?

Our eyes not built to watch screens at all.

Our bodies not built to work 8 hours per day 5 days straight.

Our noses not built to breathe in synthetic air (air conditioning) .

That's why all these sicknesses are prevailing. Darn industrialisation!

Man! This stuff!!

My vertigo started sometime 2 years ago.

Just started all of a sudden. It was really really scary.

It's very upsetting.

But there's really no cure and drugs won't really do much.

What has helped me is The Epley Manoeuvre.

Google it and do it like 3 times daily.

You would feel significantly better almost immediately.

You can also buy the drug called Vertigon.

I have it sitting somewhere in the corner just in case 😁

I haven't had vertigo episodes in like 6 months now.

The Doctor actually warned me to desist from using cotton buds as the ears have a natural cleaning process.

I don't allow anything come close to my ears now. Let it be dirty like that.

I found out I had bouts of vertigo episodes days after I clean my ears.

So I have stopped cleaning my ears and I haven't had it since.
