Truths are lies to those who find it hard not to lie.
I have a very close lady friend who is 42 years. She is a virgin and her reason for still remaining single till date is because of her stance to remain a virgin till marriage.
Every man that comes around wants to taste her before they can get commited in the relationship. So, once they try her once or twice and she denies them, they leave her.

Now, I know guys here will say "Na lie" No lady will be 42 and still be a virgin.
It looks strange but there are many like her.

I have a friend who was working at Canan Land. He had access to Oyedepo and of course to many of the board of pastors. He used to say that many cant understand how it is possible for a person like Oyedepo not to receive Salary or take from the Church purse.

He said this man has personal investments in many areas of life. He is into Properties, Bonds, Oil and Gas, and several others.

I know you guys would say, "No be church money he invested?"

Well, what many dont know is that Oyedepo and the other Bishops that recently resigned are not taking salaries from the church and dont touch the offering and tithes.
They live on what is called in Winners, "Prophet Offering"
It is only junior pastors that receive salaries.

Prophet offering in Winners is the money a member personally decides to give to a pastor.

So, if you are giving a prophet offering which is not compulsory, you must write it on the back of the envelope "Prophet Offering for Pastor So and so,"
If you make the mistake and you just put "Offering" it will be counted as normal church offering and no Pastor, including Oyedepo has the right to dip hands into it.
It is the normal offering and tithes that are used for all those magnificent projects like the new auditorium and the universities etc.

Winners Chapel has several millionaires and billionaires in almost every nations of the world. Therefore, the Prophet offerings come in millions both in naira and hard currencies.
It is these moneys these senior pastors including Oyedepo have the right to spend and this is what they invest into properties, bonds, oil and gas etc. (The Bishops)

I KNOW YOU WILL SAY I'M BRAINWASHED. YOU CAN WAIL FOR ALL I CARE.

I just think someone needs to let you know how things are run in Winners. I have close friends working there. Who know wetin dey sup.

NOT EVERY THING THAT SOUNDS STRANGE IS A LIE.

OYEDEPO LIVES ON HIS INVESTMENTS OUTSIDE THE CHURCH AND THE SCHOOLS. AND IT IS NOT CHURCH MONEY HE USED TO INVEST.

A PROPHET OFFERING IN WINNERS IS NOT CHURCH MONEY. IT BELONGS TO WHICH EVER PASTOR OR BISHOP IT IS GIVEN TO.

AND IT IS NOT A SUNDAY SUNDAY OFFERING. IT IS NOT MADE COMPULSORY EITHER.

SOME WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE CHURCH FOR YEARS HAVE NEVER GIVEN IT.
I THINK I GAVE IT TWICE IN ALL MY YEARS AS A MEMBER.
YOU WONT HEAR IT MENTIONED OR D FOR TO GIVE.

WHATEVER YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT SOMEONE OR INSTITUTION, ASK QUESTIONS OR MAKE RESEARCH.

DONT JUST JUMP INTO CONCLUSION.
IT IS CALLED FOOLISHNESS TO JUMP INTO CONCLUSION ABOUT WHAT YOU DONT KNOW.

STOP DISPLAYING MADNESS UNTOP OF SOMEONE'S ELSE'S MATTER.

NOW THAT YOU KNOW, YOU CAN WAIL. grin

Its a free world.
You have the right to cry. grin

The reward for business/entrepreneurship is PROFIT. He may NOT be drawing wages but Covenant University is still a business that makes CRAZY profit.

The virtue-signalling is UNNECESSARY. Adds NOTHING to the conversation.

It's a WORLD-CLASS institution and the students pay DEARLY for it.

It's not a CHARITY.
. the covenant university creates jobs and bussinesses opportunities.. direct and indirect jobs and the government generate revenue from the University through tax and levies

Believe him at your own peril. You think because the institution is called a non profit organization it doesn't make profit right?
Just look at the number of student and revenue generated per unit cost from each student then you'll realize they make huge profits. I'll have believed him if the school fees was low
..the university creates jobs, direct and indirect jobs for nigerians...and government generates revenue from the University through tax

It is actually a non-profit corporation.
Yes, it makes money but its purpose is not to make profit.

Many private schools are run same way, take Havard which has billions
of dollars in endowment. Did you know it is a non-profit corporation?

When did a university that students pay tuition fee become an NGO

They attack a 90 years old man for not protesting for them years after he went to prison for them.
Despite the fact that the things fall apart man never protested for any good cause while alive.
They will soon come here to attack BDO now.

He is just realising all the money he extorted from his brainless sheep's is nothing but vanity.
He is just realising the school was supposed to be a humanitarian institution and not profit making venture.

Like I said, you will not understand. So long as he doesn't use the proceeds from his school to buy clothes for himself or pay himself salary, he's always going to see it that way. Doesn't mean the school is not generating enough turnover.

Like I do tell people around me; always try to respond intellectually first before you go all emotional. I don't think you really understand my post before your comment

Who told you he went to prison for who?

He went to prison before of wide wide west issues and Awolowo also went to prison too because of that.

Go and read your book and stop disgracing yourself in a public forum.

Nonsense.

Not true. Naija doesn't run US model of charity. It’s a for profit organization… owned 100% by Oyedepo.

why do I think this is a lie?
Because the man is telling what amounts to a lie. A lie by omission is still a bloody arse lie. So long as the business is his, he directly benefits from the profits that are realized from the running of it. undecided

You have to be a business owner to understand him. Growing up, my mom would say this same thing about her business. Then she'd say the only "profit" is how much she spent on us (her children). To think those were profits from the same business smiley

We love you Sir. You are the hope of Nigeria.
At times I weep seeing headless mob without direction insulting this man of God. A man who singlehandedly built the best university in Nigeria. This man should be made a course to be studied in our universities. But fools that their past, present and future generations cannot rival Oyedepo's excreta are insulting him. Lost generation!
Which of the many Nigerian Deities would you be referring to there? undecided

■ A staff working there told me that the school can afford to abandon all their current structures and facilities and build a new one from the scratch. That's how rich they are. The person said they don't even touch school fees to use in paying salary
The money that was used in building the school and resolving almost all initial costs was from the pocket of Oyedepo's gullible followers — he probably didn't take anything out of his own pocket or even that many loans to do anything from the beginning— free money. So, what do you expect? undecided

He of course has all right to collect wages from it as the founder. Abi you fit beat am? He says he is not collecting wages from it and you found it unbelievable because of the environment you were brought up. OK . He collected wages from it. Go to court. Nonsense.
Which Government go query am? Is the Nigerian government that the man is in cahoots with or another one? undecided

There is no deception in true Christianity. Whatever you dont know make research and ask questions.
You fit call your mum a liar if she says your dad met her a virgin at 35 because you live in a different world from hers. Whereas there are above 50 virgins in this world we live.

Sorry to use your mum as an example though.

All Im saying is nothing is new and impossible under the sun.

If he says he collects a billion monthly salary no one fit querry him. Not even EFCC.
He is the founder of the school and he owes nobody.
But he says he's not collecting a dime.

Make your findings before you call him a liar.

No one fit beat am if he says he does.

My guy, answering you has always been like chatting with a lunatic under the bridge of Lagos. No be today I know you on NL with your annoying emoji on Religion section.

See the way you accused him as coniving with Nigeria Government. What proof do you have?

You've always been like this.

Only a mad man feels confident alledging people of what he cant prove.
"Sebi I see you yesterday under the tree with the king's only daughter ehhnehhn," whereas the king's only daughter is schooling in Canada. grin

This is denial at its best. I respect pastors but the way some Nigerian Pastors brag is very offensive.
