The appellate court dismissed the appeal filed by the Governor of Rivers State Siminalayi Fubara on grounds that it lacked merit.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed the judgment of the Federal High Court which set aside the N800 billion budget ed by five of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by the Edison Ehie-led group.

The court held that Governor Fubara withdrew his counter-affidavit at the lower court in the matter and as such cannot commence an appeal in a matter he didn’t challenge at the trial stage.

Fubara should fire all his advisers. Why withdraw your case in court when you intend to fight to the finish?

Wike Appeal court. It’s a simple case and nobody is going to do anything about it. They have defected to APC and there is no coming back. Evidence is live on camera. So those judges can go and enjoy their wicked money in peace since they told him what he wanted to hear

There is no doubt before the law that Martins is the rightful Speaker of the House of Assembly. The Appeal court had already made this clear in a previous judgement. That is why they berated the Governor today for disobeying the orders of court. Rivers State has no budget so far as far as the law is concerned and that is very worrisome. Something big will happen in that state soon but it will surprise only those who have been reasoning with emotions.
