POS operator would not count money?

Bros, say another thing abeg.

Count is different from recount.

Lol. They always recount but don't actually pay attention. The lady that I know who sold the electronics worth 400k actually counted the money but didn't pay attention until someone came in and told her that she was counting 100 notes. That was when she noticed but it was too late as the scammer already left with the item.
My problem with her was that why did she allow him to leave when she was still counting the cash even if she didn't pay attention to the 100 naira notes?
they do not always recount. Negligence can happen in many situations. Like this example you gave, she wasn't looking because she was certain she had counted the money before. Some won't even brother to recount, 'after all, they only finished counting it some seconds ago'

Why should she give him back the money ?..and how?

Here, I want to transfer 70k..
Take. and count. After counting you tell him transfer is 2k, he says for wetin I don't have 2k you say take your money I can't do it for less. He takes the money and does like he has a rethink then immediately gives you back the money (so you might think) oya do am, I dey in a hurry. You being confident that you just counted the money and since he didn't leave your presence, put the money away in your purse and hurriedly do the transfer. ....that's how it works often.

Just like people who buy fufu as phone. They give you a working phone to test then create a situation where you have to give them the phone before the deal is concluded then they swap it at the last moment when you are distracted.

Nonsense,so she doesn't count her money during transactions? Useless means of drawing our attention

it's real. They duped her. They switched the money they gave her.
That's why the dupers don't take such money to bank to deposit. Because in bank, there's a barrier between the customer and the teller. Once the teller count the money and it, they put it in the box and close, so u can't switch it.
I don't understand what you mean by switching

A similar issue occurred in Port Harcourt in about three different areas. It is true. Everyone should be careful. In those areas, POS Operators no longer accept deposit beyond ₦5,000.00.

A POS operator has shared her shocking experience of how a supposed ₦70,000 deposit mysteriously turned into ₦20 notes, with only a ₦1,000 note wrapped around the bundle of ₦20 notes. Speaking in the Yoruba dialect, she warned others to be vigilant of this new scam.

I’m sure if she says the entire story you’ll find that she was easy to trick because of her greed.

The more you look, the less you see😁😁

Yes, the lady confirmed in the video that the deposit was made at night. But honestly, let’s forget about it—people involved in these kinds of activities know exactly what they're doing. Can you really count up to 200 notes of ₦20 and not notice the difference between that and a ₦1,000 note?
Free the people of this world o.

Most Africans lack the power to think critically, and that's why we are so superstitious, believing all kinds of nonsense. undecided

They usually do as if they don't want to go ahead with the transaction, they'll requestfor the money and give you back almost immediately. That's where the scam lies. Don't allow them to touch the money twice.

It's the same fufu phone logic at computer village. The more you look, the less you see.

It's not that simple.
Only if you've heard of 'slight of hands' and 'voodoo hypnotism'.

As for the former, it only take a second of induced distraction by a member of the gang for them to change what you were supposed to get with the fake. The moment you look away -even just for a microsecond, e don set be that.
cool

Was hypnotism used on her? There’s the need to be watchful because the desperate times is bringing out desperate measures from evil people who can go any length to feed their selfish desires.

There is nothing like 70K turns N20,20 naira this is a fable.

This is what actually happen or how those scam run their trade.

They will come and hand you N70K or any amount of N1000 naira notes for deposit maybe at night ofrif they notice you are too busy.
After the POS operators have finished counting the money ,for maybe reason of charges aguement or what ever reasons they will asked that the money will no longer be deposited to the that they give you..that they want to go.

They will ask for the return,as soon as the money is handed to them they put it into their pocket and in a matter of less than a minute they will decide to finalize that you should help them deposit the money.

This time they have swap it with another prepared bundle of lesser amount but less than the one you earlier counted.

Because the operator have counted the money earlier without recounting will just and the money to their reserve and make the deposit amount of the former amount not knowing that it has been swapped.

If it is easy to just deposit certain amount of money and they turn lower denomination every person with such power will be going to banks to do that magic

Since it's not her , the criminal will most likely have withdrawn the money before the gets blocked. She has to get to d bank, report the fraudulent transaction, her bank then s the other bank, they'd and freeze the . But since the transaction took place the previous night. Most likely the is empty by the time she gets to the bsnk

My sister bought this piggy box from one Yoruba carpenter abd use it for saving. At the end of savings period, when she break it open, she found only torn a piece of 20 naira notes.

Dont collect deposits in a hurry. This types of scam is usually done in the guise of being in a hurry and maybe hypnosis.

Use delay tactics. You can even tell the person you have sent the money, but wait for 30 mins before sending.
