Let's have alternative to petrol and diesel
Countries that have electricity are developing e-bikes and e-cars as alternatives to petrol and diesel engines. Nigeria that has crude oil and lacks electricity is adopting the e-bikes and e-cars. This is why Nigeria is going backward. Nigeria abandons or abuse its resources and borrow money to afford the resources from other countries.

The countries that introduced e-bike and e-cars perfected fuel and diesel usages first. Those countries that develop e-bikes first enjoyed Nigeria's crude oil. Nigeria has not even enjoyed its crude oil. You no fit enjoy wetin you get in abundance, na borrow borrow go beleful you?

Those countries fully utilised 2G network before going for 3G, and fully utilised 3G before proceeding to 4G and 5G.

But Nigeria keeps jumping, claiming to catch up without perfecting or fully utilising anything. Nigeria that is still very far from perfecting electricity is going for e-bikes. The same Nigeria that is supposed to utilise crude oil.

With 3G, those countries were able to utilise surveillance cameras. Even with 5G, Nigerian banks can't easily NIN or port. Those countries enjoyed good network coverages for calls with ordinary 2G. With 5G, Nigeria is still struggling to make clear phone calls.

The same government will ban bikes in developed cities. Is an e-bike not a bike?

Stop giving excuses. That was how David Mark told Abacha in the 90s that Nigeria is not yet ripe to use GSM and Abacha suspended it till Obasanjo brought it back in 2001.

We must stop delaying progress.

It was one step at a time. The ground work was ongoing before his death.Abacha would have introduced GSM if death did not come calling. He brought CDMA technology that preceded GSM,this ended Nitel monopoly. Multi link, intercellular were some of the private telecommunications companies in operation before Obasanjo GSM of 2001. Agreed,GSM is for the rich and poor

We have been jumping technology without mastering any. That's why we will remain at the backwater of technology growth.
How was electricity generated in Nigeria before the construction of kainji dam and gas powered turbine?

Where is the spec sheet? It better be lithium batteries, Fardriver controllers and QS mid drive motor. Otherwise, it's not worth it and I'd rather DIY.

As good as this might seem, it is also part of the problem we have in Nigeria.

When the government see bike riders, POS operators, road vulcanisers, street hawkers and other similar subsistence ventures as 'gainfully employed', just know that the poverty index would continue to rise.

Rather than developing the small and medium industries which drive industrialisation and innovation, they keep promoting subsistence ventures to keep the people in check.

For such things like this bike to really work, political office holders also have to use it. When trains are done, political office holders also have to use it.

The political office holders need to also feel and through what the common man es through. That way, they can make better policies for the masses.

The things provided for by the political class should also be used by them. The issue of providing certain to be used by the 'poor' needs to be addressed.

I am just curious for those in know:

1. How many kilometres can it run on full charge?
2. Are there charging points in the city?

3. Are out local mechanic knowledgeable in how to fix this?

4. Are the batteries being sold for this properly controlled to prevent cases of explosion of fake batteries?

5. I hope after their cronies have made back their monies they won't come and barn its usage citing insecurity as the reason?
