It has got so bad now that the same N1,500 that once bought a brand new Peugeot Saloon Car can no longer buy 5 pieces of roasted corn #agbado. Indeed, at this time, #AllPromisesCrumbled

Alot of things have gone wrong in Nigeria not only corruption, tribalism also have done damage. We need total cleansing of mentality also, our approach towards life is something Else but if I become the president I will fixed everything.

Smuggle me in to ask rock and declare me the president— I have the solution!

The enemies of this country are those who see red clearly but choose to call it white just because they are benefiting directly or indirectly from the chaos and and suffering the masses are going through.

They are all over here ing strongly what isn't right. For good 8yrs one guy here kept shout "our darling daddy" and we all saw how disastrous the outcome was, now we are faced with another batch of enemies who don't see anything wrong even if the whole population is wiped out by starvation.

It's really a shame we have to face all this in a country so blessed just because of some wicked and heartless individuals.

Lol

In retrospect how much were our fathers earning in the late 1970s.

I'm not an economist but I would say this is due to inflation....

My father was earning 5000 back and giving me 50 naira as my pocket money.

But right now - does any MD earn 5000.

I feel this yeye minimum wage should be more.....

But hey over to APC warriors.

The receipt is false! I can see May 1977 there!
................................................................................................
Following the 1984 narrative:
That N1,080 is just over N2.2 Million now!

In 1984, N0.77 = $1 (If i'm not wrong o grin)

So N1,080 = $1402.60

Naira was balling then!

$1402.60 now = N2,244,160 @ N1600 per $
.................................................................................................
Following the 1977 narrative written on the receipt:
That N1,080 is almost N2.7 Million now!

In 1977, N0.65 = $1 (If i'm not wrong o grin)

So N1,080 = $1661.54

Naira was really balling then!

$1661.54 now = N2, 658,464 @ N1600 per $

In those days... One thousand naira was subtly hidden in coins because to get one naira was not a child play.

I can where I hide my N8 before traveling and coming back to meet it worthless after 10yrs.

In those days, my mother will cook food and called all our neighbors to come and eats.

The good old days.

Nigeria's money crumbled a long time ago.

My Dad said he bought his first fridge for 600 Naira.

He could very well feed with 20 Naira in a month.

His salary was 250 Naira when he got married to my Mum and they were doing very fine.

Brand new then between 4k to 5k. Their generation did not buy foreign used cars.

But then these amounts weren't so easy to earn ooh!
