For your big chances argument to stand you have to demonstrably prove that you missed them in multiple games + that you defended well enough to not concede more than you scored before comparing with Arsenal's achievements. Do you know why?

If you missed 2 big chances against Arsenal when they walloped you 5-0. You still deserved to lose the game regardless of the big chance.

Let's say you then missed 20 big chances against Tottenham but still won 4-1, it means you still got the 3 points deserved in that game.

At least for recency, go and watch Arsenal Vs Aston Villa. Villa double pivot made them very compact and limited the number of time Odegaard and Rice made entry into the box.
