Just imagine!

Heritage bank failure is politically just like Oceanic bank and others.

Unity Bank and Providus Bank (both Northern banks) were given soft landing to merge.

Why didn't they give Heritage bank (Southerner bank) the same soft landing?

What is good for Musa and also good for Ibinabo.
Heritage Bank has been having issues for years na, Unity bank and Providus are merging due to recent recapitalisation, that's why you see most banks selling shares now, they are all trying to raise fund, you want heritage Bank to raise funds from the public at their comatose stage??
I don't work in a bank, but I tried to follow up on events within the banking sector so as to know where and when my urgent 2k isn't safe to avoid stories that touches the heart

Misleading headline.
The 5 million was paid to those with deposit above 5M else you are paid what you saved.
There are some people with less than 5M that have still not been paid and have alternative s.
Something is still not adding up

This is why it is never advisable to buy shares in any Bank unless you’re buying the majority stake like Femi Otedola did with First Bank.

If the Bank liquidates, Na the Toro-Kobo customers go use their head carry skibo.

Between last week and tonight, GTBANK sent me more than 20 emails asking me to buy shares. I just dey delete the useless messages.

Make I buy shares with my money make Oloriburuku Segun Agbaje buy Latest Benz GLS and stamp customized License Plate 007 on it like he does with all his vehicles?

Imagine selling shares for N44.50? Even Zenith Bank is selling their useless shares for N36.50 ; whereas Femi Otedola bought his own shares at N21.

No be me tell them to mismanage their assets & liquidity. E no go better for all of them.

Access Bank own Na him still dey vex me . They sent money into my Access Bank and the fraudulent Bank debited me for “Electronic Transfer Levy”. I no fit talk.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi remains the best CBN Governor Nigeria ever produced.
You are right, it is only in Nigeria that shares depreciates. The ones I bought more than 10years ago, the value has been so erroded that when they send their nonsense dividends, I laugh. Not happy laugh oh

This is why opening a foreign is a great necessity, even if its trust wallet. It's safer and secure than Nigerian banks
No is ever safe. It's even safer to save your money in a safe at home.

Cool....This is good, although it is a case of equality and not equity because I sure say some customers nor get reach 20,000 for their before grin, while some get over 50 million. Anyways, what do I know ?

Are they saying irrespective of your deposit with the bank, u get #5 million?

Now this is all their is to it. They didn't mention NIN or any other nonsense thks nonsense banks use to frustrate their customers.

Instead of putting your money in the bank, why not invest it on buying a secured land with govt approved documents, whenever you need your money you can always resell and even get higher

Like a man that bought a acre of land at my area around 2005 at 800k, one plot is sold 4m now, × 6 plots

This is not true.

NDIC has paid customers back what they deposited from N5m down.

I had an with Heritage Bank since 2003 (i.e 21 years now) -- from Omega Bank to Spring Bank to Heritage.

I can screenshort and the credited transaction details here.

So what the ndic is saying here is that only #5m of customers money in nigerian banks is actually insured with the cbn anything above #5m might enter voice mail if ur bank is liquidated? This policy won't encourage nigerians to leave huge amounts in their local bank s.

Agbaje aka 007 was saying the bank made huge gains and the MD of access replied him by saying gains made from the forex market ir its reunification does not amount to real growth.

If you check very well, it's been long since we saw adverts on TV on share offers and all of a sudden, the whole banks are selling shares. This was triggered by the policy of CBN requesting banks to increase their standard deposit from 25B to 500B in the next 2 years. Those who can't meet up should merge or risk their licence being downgraded.

Agbaje won't use your money to buy car, he'd use it to save his bank.

It is the law, it was even just reviewed, talk to your lawmakers if you want it to go higher.
Btw, irrespective of what the law says, no deposit insurance agency of any country will insure all deposits irrespective of amount, there is always a limit to insured funds

Despite all your explanations, what the guy said still remains valid. Give yourself sense while putting your money in your bank : current, saving or fixed deposit

Lol. The 5 million naira flat rate is for the customers who have 5 million naira and above in their s, it doesn't include those who have below 5m.
I have even forgotten that I had an with Heritage bank when I received credit alert from Fidelity bank in my equally forgotten Fidelity bank . They said that the 1300 naira was from Heritage bank through NDIC grin grin grin

undecided

Look at diswan the thinking of most Nigerians...always wanting to reap where they never sowed and yet you lot will come on social media to shout end bad government.

For your information if you have below N5mil in your , what you'll get is exactly what you have in your as at the time of liquidation. Your N1,030 balance cannot give you N5mil, insurers ain't money doublers.

When are you guys going to stop all this nonsensical ways of reasoning? The last time I checked, both the incumbent president of FRN and CBN governor are from the southern part of Nigeria. Was it the president or CBN gov that would force another bank to merge Heritage bank if no bank was interested?
tnerro1(m): 7:39am On Aug 12, 2024
Meaning one should not put above 5m in his , anything above should be invested. Nice

I think this is not fair. And besides why did heritage not notify their customers before the event? Abi there's a law against that? Cause they can't feign ignorance here.

Here una go again.

Heritage ran national ads portraying itself as a Yoruba bank. How will it get customers of different ethnicities like that?

I saw it's failure from far. Now you're bringing tribe again into it, when it's clearly written that they are finding it difficult to maintain financials. Seems you work for heritage bank.

Abi current CBN governor no be Yoruba again?

Una complain during Jona CBN, Buhari, now Tinubu CBN. SMH

Merging of banks go beyond what you just mentioned, Heritage bank licence wasn't just revoked based on only financial limitations but other anomalies.

If we continue to view issues always from religion, tribal or regional differences, then we aren't ready for any meaningful development
