The Christian Association of Igbo Ministers, CAIM, has expressed worries that youths of Igbo extraction are jettisoning their Christian faith and returning to idol worship, saying that the trend does not portend well for the Christian faith and the Igbo nation.

The international president of the group, Solomon Chukwuemeka Okorie, said this on Friday in Umuahia while briefing the press on the World Igbo Prayer Summit, which is holding from August 14 to 16 at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia.

He noted that the future of the Christian faith in Igboland is challenged if the youths are not shown the way of God. According to him, the 95 per cent Christian population recorded in the recent past among the Igbo may plummet if nothing is done.

He lamented that despite the individual strength of the Igbos, they are not collectively united when compared with their counterparts from the South West and the North.

The group, which called for unity among all Igbos in the South East and those in Benue, Delta, Edo, and Rivers, also urged clergymen of Igbo extraction to form a united front in praying for the Igbos to get out of their present condition in the country.

The group expressed worries about the deaths of prominent Igbo personalities, including Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Ifeanyi Ubah, and Onyeka Onwenu, among others. It advised the Igbo to go into prayer to avert the tragic loss of their leaders.

Okorie said that the summit would be used to seek the face of God for the survival of the Igbos through prayers and also to seek an end to the present situation of insecurity in the South East.

“The killings and other forms of insecurity in the South East are not what we were known for and we are going to use the World Igbo Prayer Summit to pray for the return of peace and unity,” he said.

If it's only idol worshipping e for good, many of them dey ignorantly use their father without knowing the true consequences, i wonder how a region can be that desperate for power, they don't know without the tree the branch cannot stand. Weed is a general menace to the country, let's hands to eradicate and make the society safe for all. But in the future, i see a lot of igbo youths running mad. God have mercy on whom He choses.

One leg in one leg out. Christians by daytime. Idol worshippers at nighttime.
For those with obvious shrine locations where the Christian group feel threatened I won’t advise they enter their shrine and smash their idols to the ground

Lol

Someone worships something that looks like him and whose names and identity resonates with him

Another worships a complete different thing that has no resemblance to him, no identity , worst of all, it was the same thing that was used to enslave and colonize him.
But he has the audacity to call the first one an idol worshiper. There’s a parasite inside your brain that’s eating up your brain cells if you don’t know

D1official:

Hope you can offer them your virgin daug.. to be used as sacrifice for the idols.

The lies they told you right?

The whites that brought you their religion were more barbaric than you were, they only modified it to suit modern standards and civilization.
Did you know of how the vihkings burn virgins alive ?
Or what how the whites burnt people alive accusing them of witchcraft?
They burnt epilepsy patients alive thinking they were possessed
Do you know of the Mayans and how they slaughtered thousands of people as sacrifices?

I have researched my own culture and still researching ifa and nothing evil about it, it teaches absolute purity.
You can read more about it here, I’m still writing the thread

https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/8175401/lets-talk-odu-ifa

Even the Bible that you carry speak of how someone slaughtered his only daughter as sacrifices to your Bible God Jehovah
The most violent religions that shed the most blood in history are Islam (number 1) followed by Christianity

Stop being stupid and learn to do your own findings, it’s a thing of shame to demonize your own thing and rely on others to tell you your history. Shame!!

Idol worshiping?

Who made those traditions idolatry? A white man?

Truth be told, the mentality of an average African man has been conquered.

If religion should be practiced, its better indigeneous religion.
But if "Reality" is a religion, dats wot i advocate for.

Christianity has been hijacked by cun artists, who want nothing but to callously exploit the vulnerable masses and keeping them in perpetual bondage.

They dont know christ, they dont beleive in him, neither do dey hav an atom of regard, respect or fear for him.
They only see christ as a tool to achieve their henious quests and cravings. Be it power/prominence, wealth, women(i one telling my kid sis she had marine spirit, and the only solution was for him to sleep wit her. Just imagine!).

And the most annoying part is that some persons hav blindly failed to see and acknowledge dis even wen its so glaring. When u want to talk abt these fraudsters, u see dem defending dem saying u're fighting the body of christ.
Africans, our mumu no too much?

The power of God begins to diminish amongst his people when this wealth - wealth (prosperity gospel) became prominent.

It's all about money and influence in the society and God's spirit of course became irritated.

When people do not see power, the go to where they can see it.

Pastors want to appear rich and command power of God like Ayo Babalola or Apostle Paul. . It doesnt work like that.

It is a result of Pentecostal christianity and Nnamdi Kanu.
Pentecostal christianity liberalised Christian practices and unfortunately weakened it.
Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu brought this idol worshipping back into Igbo people's fold through his extreme fascist nationalism where he severally condemned Christians and Christianity and favoured judaism and idolatry. So the idol worshippers rode on the momentum and build amongst Kanu base who are largely Christians and deviated them.
Social media also helped them. Yahoo yahoo promoted the whole thing likewise.
