The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has lamented that the President Tinubu istration has done nothing to alleviate the nation’s petroleum problem, but instead made it worse.

The student body stated that rather than increasing fuel availability, the subsidy removal has caused scarcity and immense sufferings for Nigerians.

DAILY POST had reported the hike in petrol pump price in Ogun, Lagos, Abuja and oher parts of the country.

It was gathered that while major marketers sold petrol below N650, the independent marketers sold between N750 and N800 per litre.

Expressing their dissatisfaction, the students in a statement signed by the NANS National Clerk of the Senate, Abdul-Yekinn Odunayo on Saturday, in Abeokuta, lamented that queues in petrol stations are becoming alarming despite the promises made by President Bola Tinubu.

He said, “This crisis has continued to persist despite the removal of fuel subsidy which has brought untold hardships to Nigerians.

“Nigerians are experiencing unprecedented hardship and going through hell before they can get to buy fuels.

“Queues have been a common thing at petrol stations across the country despite the promise by President Bola Tinubu that fuel will queues will disappear in the country after the removal of subsidy, but that has not been the case.

“The exorbitant cost of petrol has led to a sharp increase in transportation fares, caused a surge in the prices of essential goods and services. The increased cost of transportation and production is being ed on to consumers, exacerbating the already high cost of living.”

The student body demanded that the President and NNPC act quickly and forcefully to address the problems before Nigerians are forced to the breaking point.

His miscreants and brainless defenders said he achieved a lot with the National anthem.

Anybody still defending this calamity is an enemy of Nigeria.

It is now over one year after the subsidy removal, yet we cannot pinpoint any particular benefit this policy has brought to the country.
It has rather become a precursor to serious economic hardships all over Nigeria.

How can NANS believe tinubu removed subsidies?

I would give anyone 10 million naira instantly if they can prove NNPC is not taking massive loose of minimum of ₦550 per litre to keep fuel at 700

This fuel subsidies has opened my eyes to see that 98% percent of Nigerians are below average in smartness

Sadly I don't see this country growing time to liquidate my assets and move out

All Asiwaju used his entire life to build went down in less than a year.
Aregbesola, Ojodu, Osinbajo, Makinde, Dapo Abiodun knew he was empty, except that some of them had no choice because of his money bag victory at the primary.

Yorubas will say "Iku ya'ju esin".
Awolowo and Abiola didn't make it, and people still hold them in high esteem. Asiwaju as a champion didn't leave the field when the ovation was loudest, and everyone is throwing whatever it is to him everyday.

The likes of FreeStuffNg, yarimo and Helinues will either run from this or come with their dumb analysis to the failed man Tinubu.

Everything he condemned under Jonathan got worse under him but nah, since it's their brother, he's right.

Tinubu, deaf boy grin

He no dey hear anything

They saved billions from subsidy and shared it amongst themselves, kriiminals

Not even a single policy of tilinbu has worked, dollar has been on downward spiral, even after arresting BDC operators, binance executives etc.

This govt is already worse than Buhari 8 years of cluelessness and backwardness

His extravagant spending, corruption and wastefulness have wiped out the benefits at the expense of Nigerians.

I warned Nigerians against voting along tribal sentiments. We are all now reaping the consequences.

Nigerians, we must learn by force!

Absolutely nothing!

Subsidy removal and floating the Naira are the worst moves yet undecided

A lot of what we suffer now stem from those two mistakes.
