Aegon the conqueror built the red keep but his son Maegor the cruel saw to it's completion. It is said that Maegor added his own part to the build which were secret ageways to get in and out of the red keep. No one knows the secret ageways except Maegor because he had the builders burned to death so that they won't reveal them to anyone. Over the years, some of these secret ageways have been found. In the books, the assassins Blood and Cheese (don't know if they are called that in the show) are said to be rat catchers the palace hired so obviously they must've seen some of these ageways by accident while hunting for rats which made it quite easy for them to come in without alerting the guards

Not an anime fan but I do dabble here and there watching stuff from studio Chizu, comix wave and studio Ghibli and sunrise studios that my ex used to force me to watch (she was a big time otaku or whatever they call them) but I'm learning a lot and the world is wider than Hollywood, maybe widen your tastes

In fact in the book they killed a guard who was guarding Helaena when she brought the kids to Alicent's chambers.
After killing the kid shouts was heard and guards mobilised but it was too late cos the hired hands knew the secret ageways to escape through.

Bridgerton season 3 is a solid 8. 5/10 for me.
The best season after season one.
Now this is how to stage a proper comeback from the not so interesting season 2.
Though i still don't understand why these people are hell bent on adding any semblance of gayy scene in this season 3.

This season was 100% a perfect show and those gay/threesommme scenes were totally unnecessary and doesn't make sense at all.

However the season is an epic season of thrill, romance, mystery and suspense.
It's surprising as to how all the casts brought their A games into this season, they all lived through their roles as if they were living their everyday lives, it's just simply amazing how they do it.

What more can i say?
I am short for words because if i begin to talk about the show proper, it means i will heap praises on all the casts of the show.

What next for season 4?
I don't know but i hope to continue to see these amazing casts for many many years to come.

1. The secret ages in the castle built by Maegor the cruel.

2. Ser Criston Cole reducing the guards so that no one catches him servicing the queen.

3. Larys thinning out and replacing the royal staff with his own people.

4. Expecting to be attacked by dragons and not an assassination.

5. Back to number 1, guards on the lower levels not knowing the secret ages.

The security was just weird.

The king himself could have easily been assassinated by a bow.

These guys literally walked right past the King and his guards at night.

The security was way too lax.

They were even walking freely around the hallway as if no guards were on night shift.

But I think their boldness plus the fact that they came as ratcatchers meant no one batted an eyelid

In the book, Alicent was even present on the scene and held at knife point and the mother, her daughter (King's sister-wife) walked in and was asked to pick one, she picked the two year old and they went ahead to kill the other one telling the one picked "your mother wants you dead"


We should be thankful they took liberties with that part of the plot, the original would have scarred some feeble viewers for the foreseeable future

This scenes just made me hate this two even more.

Giving us this version would have been more realistic. They hold the highest position in the entire continent, so it is expected that they would have enemies even within the castle. At least a guard or two should have been stationed in front of the room (I Rhaenyra even had one in season 1).
