Did a paid mail and call today and this was the response I got. No email yet from UkVi and tracking is still stuck at DMC on TLS. Has anyone experienced this and how does the projected time and situation looks like ?

If you understood the guy you quoted well you should have deduced from his post that his uncle already paid almost all of his tuition and you don't even know if he is living with his uncle which means he has no problem with feeding and accommodation which will make things easier for him.

Ask yourself this question do you have 90% or full tuition? Do you have enough money to pay for 6 months rent when you land here cause the work migrants use to start life like care work, warehouse, factory are now scarce value. Let alone the 20hrs limit on your BRP. 20hrs work can't foot all your bills with humongous school balance. Do you have uncle or aunty that will come to your rescue if things don't go as planned?

People here sounding alarm are doing it out of love. Even me that I have most of my tuition fee sorted out I am still depressed cause this is my 4th month in the UK as a student without job my sneakers are about to tear. Good luck.

Yes but still normal 20% when you earn above £1k
Like for instance all the three hustle, it's just 20% I get from tax on each.

People will face different realities when they go abroad and for your information 3 of my siblings are there and doing very well for themselves. Not to even talked about my friends that are over there too. Stop the unsolicited advice, if they deport them is not the end of life, allow people make their choices without putting unnecessary fare in them. honestly the negativity is becoming too much and irritating, all this cover up of I care is false , many people enter abroad with just hope and they come out doing so well because the environment works for those who don’t give up. these are the options and they are very much fool proof

Get into a civil partnership with soneone, but for you to use this, both of you MUST have been together, and (seemingly) under one roof for two years.......
If you get into a genuine civil partnership, the time can start counting from when months after you came in, but a lot of stypid Nigerian twats have gone to "cast" this pathway with desperation and deceptive ways.
This way if done right will give you headway...

Get into a marriage with a British national or soneone with ILR....
The wahala here now is that there is income threshold that must be met before this can work. and those who meet the income threshold ( I don't know what it is now so lemme not quote figures) are more often than not, less inclined to do "arrangee"
so if you get into a nice and genuine relationship, and she (or he if you play or pretend to play
for the other team) meets the income threshold, then you are good to go.....
But keep it in mind that if the marriage breaks down before the five year plus threshold, you will have to switch visa or vacate the country

So the choice is yours
I have seen ppl do both above and it worked out well for them because it was genuine relationships...

there may be other ways so this is not exhaustive, I'm only talking about what I know works

Yes, if you start now. I started my application around May 25, I applied to 9 schools, 8 out of the 9 schools have given me ission, while the last one is asking me for work reference. So if you start now, you will definitely be able to get into 1 or 2 programmes.

there are January 2025 entries if you don't mind, you can go for them IF you miss the September/October intake.

Try schools in the North of England, they are more inclined to take late applications, and tbvh, because of the drop in applications, they will most definitely pick you.....
If you can get your transcripts on a moments notice even better

They will be struggling to save 1k a month, why you know your way you can save 2000 or 2500 with side hustle after settling rent and bills.

I am looking at schools that will not harass for payments sha
from what I hear from associates, Bradford are not quick to harass ppl for outstanding payments....
while looking for "cheap schools"; also consider student and benevolence.

Imagine Teeside Uni saying they will pay flight ticket back home for students owing ?
is it not better to keep them for them to "find" the money and pay than to spend money to get them deported then lose out on all the income.....

But this year everything changed dramatically as they have sent a lot of people home already and even threathen me self.
People owning 300 sent pre exclusion letter and letter to home office.

Things are not the same with UK universities and this September they will see massive drop in students and they will now turn to those available to collect full fees.

I'm not in a position where I am looking for ission, because I'm already settled here in the UK, but IF I was a student, and I have to pick a school, my first priority would be student .

I'll gladly take a slightly higher fees IF I know they won't harass me as much, and they have a decent payment plan.
many have fallen for the cheap school format and are paying for it....
if I had all the fees at once
by all means go for the cheap school and pay off once ... if they are also flexible and students, even better!

but if you have 70% upwards, my thinking will be different

With UK universities now it's not like that. I have read so many stories here and I will add my input again.
Those painting it black are actually 1000% right. They don't care for you u might be right but yes they are right with everything. If it's other kind of visa then coming unprepared is not an issue but student visa in UK now.. Don't play if u don't have ur fees. UK universities are now like our loan shark companies in Nigeria that don't give u peace again

Agreed with all point except fish farming. My advice is wait for dollar rate to fall small and convert your naira to USD, find alternative cheaper developed country with language barrier and learn their language with seriousness for one year and disappear from that country before Bulaba use person do pepper soup

Do u have an idea where one can get a loan either in UK or Nigeria? Loan that is cheaper in of interest.
