Why should you have a problem with people travelling to the UK? Why shouldit bother you? Some people have the funds to cover their tuition. UK international students make a lot of noise on social media. Do you think it's only in the UK they deport people? Even if they deport people it's still not the end of the world.

Now it will shock you know I was deported from the UK in 2012, got a 5years ban afterwards. I still worked In Nigeria in the oil and gas industry, moved to Canada and became a PR last year. In that same UK, my 3 sisters are British citizens and prospering like crazy. I am doing very well in Canada. I have also sent my cousins over and my sister inlaw will be going next.

Last week I had the opportunity to talk to 3 new set that came this January 2024.. Sunderland University av already locked their portal and they are threatened to de list them while the other from another uni said home office has already ed her n she paid only 3500 pounds from Nigeria . I was like why did u come when no dependant?

I went for an interview recently outside of my my location it's 1hr 57mins by bus and I have to be reporting 7am in the morning which I can't make. He asked if I have a car I said no. I told him I would relocate but he wasn't pleased with that. This is the second time I am experiencing that. This car is another thing for securing job in this country.

Do Naija or UK reference.
Can you do security training it cost 600 to 800 pounds depends on location.

I there is possibility of seeing 12hrs work per week but the downside is that most pub only engage security Friday and Sunday simultaneously , this makes it impossible to work in two agencies and most security providers with longer hours job love to employ those who aren't students n with car.

Car is an important asset here. Without car u missed available jobs that manage to come ur way

Go to indeed and type in care on search bar. Reduce the location from 25miles to 15miles and refund your search. The will bring out about 1000+ jobs as I have done it from here.

Go to company filter button and click the drop down. This will show companies hiring around Leicester. I saw about 20. Copy the company name one by one and search for their number using Google. Call them on their line and tell them you are looking for care job.

Do you have experience yes
Do you need visa sponsorship no
Do you have DBS - yes (I assume you have it by now)
Have you completed your care training - yes ( I also assume you do have mandatory cert).

Don't bother applying for the jobs, just get the company's number using this method and call them directly. Any further clarification, let me know.

I have discussed with my church they gave me numbers and after calling they told me they didn't have vacancy. I'll try the first call when I get home. Just left Accept Recruitment Agency now they couldn't give me the job that was on ground because I have no car the job location is in Nuneaton. This car na wahala jare.

UK is tough no doubt so hoping to pay school fees with work is not possible. I have only worked about 20 days since I got in January and I’ve actually been searching very hard. However, in my case i am not pressured because my uncle paid most of my school fees and I had some money when coming over too.

People I know have been lucky to get good jobs though so everybody’s case is different, anyone coming just know the situation on ground and bring money to help the adaptation process. You may need to do an SIA license if you want to work in security which costs 500 pounds, that has helped some people I know get jobs.

Getting an accommodation may also be tough at first so there may also be a need to have some money for a motel for a while if you don’t know anybody.

Though an agency wanted to do it for me sometime at a paid rate but they told me I might not get it on time that really made me back off. And what mandatory training do I need again? I think after you have been employed the Care Home would do training and award certificate? Please elaborate. I have done a mental health training online and I have the certificate.

It's ok if you don't have enhanced dbs as it can only be requested by an employer or agency. However, if you can that agency to do it and put it on updated service, it will save time but if you don't have the money, no problem.

Now this is how to present things without being too encouraging or discouraging. People can now decide if they’re ready to face the consequences of relocating or staying in Nigeria. It’s different for everyone. We all should just do proper research, plan well, PRAY REALLY HARD and make the decision to go or to stay.

14 or 14 working days. No matter, waiting times is 15 working days so you shouldn’t be worried yet. Mine is now 23 working days.
Even my officer said they haven’t been ed; which begs the question, do they banks in all cases?
