Iluyomade isn’t a Pentecostal Christian, he’s a charismatic guy.

RCCG has two strains of parishes: the ones with core Pentecostal believe and those with charismatic believe.

Parishes like city of David are charismatic with no iota of Pentecostal values/belief.

We are getting it wrong by mixing Pentecostal and charismatic churches together. Winners, Christ Embassy, House on the Rock, Covenant Nations etc are Charismatic denominations while Deeper Life, MFM, Assemblies of God, GOFAMINT etc are Pentecostal denominations.

Do you know what it means for three of one family to die horrifically in a church? Unless you have lost your humanity, church programmes for that period would be canceled or postponed. We are not even talking about church programmes but a private birthday celebration done so loudly and lavishly to the distaste of the grieving family.

I used to fancy the said pastor because of the way he ran interactive services. After this event however, I lost all respect for him. What they did was disgusting! If it was in the developed world, that parish would have been totally boycotted.

I think this is the crux of the matter. I doubt RCCG will make a move to remove him if powerful of the church didn't request it. Adeboye only approved it.
The decision to have him removed must have come from within the church itself.
If above is the case, then Pastor ID goofed. As a pastor of such powerful church, U have to be highly sensitive to the feelings of your . U should also avoid decisions that polarize the church because the outcome is always controversial.

His suspension proved to me that RCCG is still a living church. His resignation just proved the people right on the fact that the lavish birthday is a of sign of lack of empathy. It shows this man is not meek.

A genuine pastor should be in subjection to authority. I sincerely believe he was suspended for not showing remorse when he was being questioned on the birthday nature and timing.

Again, I now believe RCCG has not lost it when it comes to church leadership discipline, a key component of running godly ministries.

Real Christians don't see physical death as "perishing". To perish is to die and go to eternal damnation.

So, a person who died in a plane crash while spending his life serving the Lord hasn't "perished", as far as we know (the Lord sees the heart), but has gone home to his/her reward.
