helinues: Toh Sometimes, the way we do things in Nigeria is always questionable. How can you be having discussion about increase in minimum wage without involving NGF? The same NGF have said they are not interested in paying anything above N70k 38 Likes 4 Shares |

May God bless the people's Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki for raising the bar. If not for him, both federal and state governor would have been proposing 45k or 50k minimum wage. In 2022, he raised the minimum wage from 30k to 40k and now to 70k without owing any worker or pensioner. Meanwhile other states like Abia are still paying 18k as minimum wage. Edo civil servants and pensioners, this is the time to repay Obaseki for standing by you. Let us vote massively for Asue Ighodalo who happens to be the most qualified candidate. He has the capacity to move Edo to the next level. APC Monday Okpebholo has since condemn the 70k minimum wage which means he will stop paying it if he becomes governor. Edo people Vote wisely. 32 Likes 4 Shares |

It's now confirmed the FG planted that #105k minimum wage story yesterday. Like I said, they wanted to gauge public reactions. The Nigeria Governors Forum has reacted. Now the private sector is reacting. The NGF - #70k Private Sector - #60k The FG will set the minimum wage at #75k or #80k. EponObi: 5 Likes |

Chinjo2: He only raised it because of the election. Lol. Nigerians have seen it all and know the cheap tricks a typical Nigerian politician can pull at any point in time. The FG increased the FAAC allocations in June 2023, why didn't he increase the minimum wage last year? Like if you think Obaseki raised the minimum wage to #70k because he care about his citizens. Share if you think he did that because of the election. 2 Likes 12 Shares |

The problem of minimum wage has always been the ability of the state governments and the private sector to cope with increments

Also you can pay billions for Hajj and trafer abroad like a rich yet you can't pay your workers 3 Likes 1 Share |
