Reckless cho cho cho has consequences. Sometimes you just have to play the long game instead of always reacting to everything.

Nobody promise you fairness or truth in this world. Until a few generations ago, the whole world was a glorified wild jungle and total survival of the fittest. The sanity and civilized systems that you see in most places today started not too long ago.

There are Channels of Complaints, She should have reported the company to Nafdac and Consumer protection commission to carry out their work and ascertain her allegation. On the other hand Erisco should know that a product is subject to bad or good review.
There is difference between bad review and false review.

What most people are implying here is, when a product is bad, don't say anything.....
Erisco food should have warned her and if she still went on to defame without evidence then should be arrested

Na how dem take kill Nigeria be this. We honour criminals, and punish the innocent.

Her review goes beyond misguided comments, but complaint. What happened to consumer protection agency? Let me guess they have received brown envelops.
In a country where the truth is constantly under attack, we might just wake up one day and discovered that Nigeria has shifted from it natural geography location into the sea.

Should it be Nigerian court received huge sum to remand the innocent lady to jail?

Lawyers that can not protect human right

Jokers!

If you want to criticize, write good English.

Was there anything you think the lawyer could have done, that he didn’t do ?

In as much as I think it's harsh, she should bear the consequences of her decision.. Those foreign tomato paste are the actual killers.. Younger Nigerians ask your older ones what Structural Adjustment Program(SAP) did to Nigeria and the economy at large.. Only then will you understand Erisco foods..

That one na wrongful imply for your side grin

What most people are saying is that you can review but don't take it personal and make statements that may implicate you. When addressing product review, just stick strictly to the facts and within the scope of the issue in question. If you need to push further, seek legal guidance and let your lawyer handle the rest.

I'll be pained if this lady eventually lands in jail. This is serious!
the place she has landed is even worst than jail,to be remanded in Nigerian prison is to be in purgatory ,I when I was in remand custody and was even praying to God to be sent to prison ,I pity the people that are still making noise that Nigeria is not working, just fall into their trap and you will know the full meaning of DPP.

She simply contested the quality control of that product, if she was wrong , then a lab test result should have been made to prove her wrong

If I happened to be Erisco

I will make sure that she is jailed for 5 years

If you want to her

Go back and read what she wrote
That was not a review but a false statement against someone’s business.

The Court will decide.

I am not too familiar with the facts, but from the little I recall of her review of the product, it seemed like an honest personal opinion that she couldn't have expected to cause this much wahala.

Unfortunately, the Cyber Crime law is such a catch-all law that, people on social media have to be very careful about what they say.

I personally believe the super extensive scope of the law should render it unconstitutional.

If you read the review on Facebook, it was more than personal. She was a Facebook influencer with thousands of followers. She deliberately spread false information about the product to her followers. Some of her followers were even cautioning her and she said those followers should go and tell erisco to take her to court..

Reading the review, It felt like she was paid to deliberately demarket the product. She was even saying the product was killing people and whoever knows erisco should tell him to stop killing people with his tomatoes paste.

It was that bad. I feel sorry for her Sha. She learnt a bitter lesson already.

In the process, she made some unguarded allegations with serious legal implications. Unfortunately, that businessman got her with that. They better find way to settle the matter.

Why not ask about Ezekwesili and Iwuanyanwu?

Perhaps they are as shameless as you are and cannot even intervene to save the young lady.
