for a largely unproductive & indolent federal, state & local government civil service, 48K although grossly inadequate, is still more realistic compared to 650K or 615K proposed by a lame duck (disorganised) labour:

1. 2 x current minimum wage = 60K/month
2. 1/2 the work time from 8am-12pm = shifts
3. employ additional hands to work 12pm-4pm = reduce unemployment
4. pay workers weekly on friday @ 15K/week = more money in the pocket
5. enforce supervised clock in/clock out = pay by attendance/evidence of productivity

The issue of raising the minimum wage will only end up tripling inflation. Can the state government afford to pay for this? How many are currently paying the N30,000 minimum wage? Assuming the NLC agrees to a new minimum wage of N150,000, can the private sector afford to pay this amount? This would mean that only the federal government pays the minimum wage, which will heavily impact the cost of goods and services.

Not increasing minimum will not stop inflation in Nigeria. There’s inflation with or without minimum wage increment. NLC shouldn’t accept anything less than 100k

Yes. Shld FG even agree on 75k, hyperinflation straight, unless FG control this present inflation rate to minimal bearing.
May Nigeria get better. Every Govt staff deserves a good living wage that can better our lives.
