I lie down for outside like this because light no dey. I never drive for 1 week because fuel no dey, even with my money. I never go my home town for 3 years because of kidnappers. Brodaly give me Visa i no go spend 24hours more for naija

The UK is not the best destination for immigration, it's just a better place. That's the key point.

If you will suffer, at least suffer with light, and security, without the need to beg others, suffer from stupid problems such as a slap from a policeman/tout, or eating chicken only on Christmas.

For someone like me earning below 500k in Nigeria per month, I would quickly seize the opportunity like even now sef. Life in the UK is way better than life here in Nigeria from any angle you wanna look at it.

20000 ÷ 12 = 1666. So I only paid 173 in income tax and go home with 1493. What doesn't make sense here?

Now convert that to naira by the pounds exchange rate and tell me if you go ever make that much for Naija.

Yes but in the UK,

- you do not queue for hours to buy fuel
- you do not buy fuel for generators
- you have access to a proper government health insurance system
- well managed transportation which means you really do not need a car to move around
- no touts on the road trying to extort you like this new task force roaming about Abuja roads.
- no police, VIO or FRSC officials trying to extort you on the road for flimsy stuff.

In other words, those things you spend money on in Nigeria, you find that the tax deductions actually pay for them in UK so you do not need to spend again from your pocket.

The people that went to the UK didn’t do it for money in most cases. Just a sane environment to live
