Sources close to the investigation said that Adegbenro and his associates had allegedly been running a "sophisticated scam operation, preying on unsuspecting individuals by offering them fake employment opportunities within NATCOM."


The NATCOM, which is said to have claimed to be the government agency responsible for controlling the proliferation of small arms and light weapons, has allegedly been selling bogus appointment letters and extorting money from victims.


SaharaReporters gathered that investigations also uncovered evidence suggesting Adegbenro's alleged involvement in gun-running.


It was gathered that his arrest had shed light on the extent of NATCOM's alleged criminal activities, which have been ongoing for several years.


Victims are said to have come forward with disturbing s of being deceived by NATCOM team, which promised them lucrative positions and job security within the organisation.

"Also, many have lost significant sums of money in the process, with some even quitting their existing jobs to the fake agency," another source said.

"As the investigation progresses, questions have continued to be raised about how Adegbenro managed to operate without facing any consequences," another source said.

The National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), which is said to be the only recognised government institution tasked with controlling the proliferation of illicit small arms and light weapons in Nigeria, said that it has repeatedly warned about the dangers posed by NATCOM.


The NCCSALW in a statement issued on Saturday said that it has been working to raise awareness about these fraudulent groups and their potential to undermine national security.

The organisation further urged the public to exercise caution and the legitimacy of any organisation claiming to be involved in arms control before engaging with them.



“The arrest of Adegbenro marks a significant step forward in the fight against illegal arms proliferation, gun-running, and the criminal activities of fraudulent outfits.


“As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge about the extent of NATCOM's operations and the individuals involved in perpetrating these crimes.


“The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or organisations claiming to be involved in arms control to the relevant authorities. By working together, we can combat the menace of illegal arms proliferation and create a safer society for all,” the NCCSALW said.

I dont really know the exact figure presently but one of the best agencies you could think of. The have good work ethics, good staff welfare, they take good care of their staff, they also maintain standard. The former VP daughter, former senate president son and many VVIP children I cant mention works there. Someone with 10m couldn't even secure a slot. Even top politicians still hustle for their children. PLEASE DONT EVEN THINK TWICE, "ACCEPT THAT OFFER WITH SPEED OF LIGHT O!

I heard above 5m+ fr CBN, so NDIC might hv 25-55+% increase of upfront if it correct

Alot of things is happening, APL up and down. I find it so irritating when some people say, no agency is recruiting, no agency is issuing APL, some will say, my source told me nobody has received APL this year in particular agency with confidence...

They forgot that 50G connect 5G , 10G connects. Some connect will make the CEOs & MDs of agencies to initiate recruitment process e.g Presidency




Infact some are good in blind argument, even when they see the appointment letter, even after documentation, they will still doubt it and tag it fake documention.

I laugh whenever I come across people in this category and I don't like discussing important issue of life with them.. They will discourage you because they believe so much in impossibility.

I pray that God Almighty will favour everyone looking for stable stream of income with lucrative job. I have met some great minds on this forum. Let's pray for favour, I I ed two heads of agencies/VIPs via WhatsApp & SMS..

I think he meant percentage increase, and not absolute value.

This is not true about NSITF, let me assume you judge the salary based on what you saw on the appointment letter, or maybe they just increase it recently, but as of last year, NSITF is not earning up to 110k. I heard they're been cheated on, they should be competing with the likes of FIRS too because they're revenue generating agency as it's one of the requirements for Tax clearance and company registration too.

Ok and thanks,its actually true that there was an increase in NDIC but they used to have problems of promotion just like CBN,growth in these organizations is difficult.

The salary of level9 in NSITF is better now,i am sure is above 170k now.Though the person i meet recently left for NERC and each time we chat is alwys happy and thanking God he left NSITF.
