I woke up to see that that long bearish candle formed b4 bed turned bullish, on the H4, then the next currently forming candle went all bullish again but started retracing big, still bullish as we speak.

All these just tell me to keep on waiting, I was tempted to go down again to H1 to pick my short from there, but the lesson here is: to be firm, I'm not going down no more. My trading style is to swing on D1 or least H4 but to scalp on M5, M15 or M30 and no more, depending on what market displays.

Summary: I wait more on the side, may be there is no trade for me today.

Yes absolutely, it's good to wait.

If you don't want to wait, you go a step lower TF, but when you do, you have to complete a cycle of trading in that same lower TF before you can return to your regular TF. Complete cycle of trading is when you enter more than one trade in that cycle until profits are made.

Yesterday's candle was not nice to both parties, bull and shorts: yesterday was a typical example of how many got stopped out.

Haa, my calendar won confuse my eye ni sha. Na Canadian time still dey my forexfactory, see attached, I need to update it asap. But where that long candle con come from. No wonder the momentum was not like that of I na why I quickly exit once I noticed the momentum had gone so quickly.
