Please i will like to ask if anyone here has gotten their visa through Masters In Research with their dependent. I will like to confirm this before me and my wife would start processing.

I look back and am crying why didn't I study this courses

I don't even have time to study always on the search for job and how to survive I only attend classes. Don't have time for reading at times I'll just ask myself why did I now come here to study.

I think of survival daily. That's what is taking a large part of my mental activity. How to pay bills. I don't think I'll be able to use the certificate after study cause I can't focus on the study.

What does post study letter mean please? Is it completion of studies certificate, issues by school?

You will present it to homeoffice showing u are through with ur studies and eligible for two years post study visa

Exactly. Eeeh but na wah o. I think say na Africans get this kind mentality o. One still told me to pay a huge some of 100 pounds to get a DBS last week they now said but they are not certain I can receive it within a month. Na wah

Enhanced DBS which I paid and a month plus I got it. Before then the same agency sent me a care training and told me to pay 90 pounds to attend the training. Now I ask if they will give me shift.. Please I heard if You apply for your dependant, the POF must remain in your till they land in uk.

I had same experience with an agency in London, after they processed my Dbs at a fee and did some paid online training they stopped responding to my text.. omo eye don see oo.

@justwise and other gurus, I just got my P60 and I need someone to interpret it for me whether I qualify for a tax refund or not. Or someone that can just explain to me how to study and analyse it. Thanks

P60 shows how much you earned from an employer and the amount of tax taken. Does not state if tax was over or under.

Also , as it is issued per employer, you'll have multiple p60s if you worked for more than one employer in the year.

For over or under tax, create or check your online hmrc

If the cleaning area is in care home, hospital, school or places that vulnerable people are then they will require enhanced DBS from u.

There are places that require just standard DBS.
While others is just basic DBS.

I can relate to your post. From my own observation (please note, I reside in the Northern Ireland, UK). So I can speak with respect to this particular location. Most decent cleaning jobs is hard to find here because it's very preferred by the locals (which they are most trusted). Am sure you know what I mean. The requirements for the DBS is relaxed for them. For some reasons, these locals really like cleany jobs. I will not recommend cleaning jobs for someone in the Northern Ireland part of the UK.

It is p45 that is issued per employmer when u resigned from their service. P60 is issued once a year at the end of the tax year which is April 5.

Why do you feel you overpaid tax? Generally, unless your situation was not simple such as you started a job during the tax year so had an emergency tax code or you had more than one job during the tax year, you shouldn't have overpaid tax. HMRC will "balance your " and will send you either a refund or an underpayment notice anytime after April 6 this year which is when the new tax year starts.

You can use your payslips and a tax calculator like this one https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tax-calculator/ and determine how much tax + NI you should have paid for the tax year and see if you are paid more or less than what you should.

Thank you very much. I started working in UK on November 7th and had 3 jobs within the tax year. I know some people we came in together and were never taxed a penny till end of last month

P60 doesnt state if u are eligible for tax return, just gives history of income and tax paid.
If u are for tax return, HRMC will send u a later. If u don't get one and feel u are entitled for tax return, them via a phone call or send a mail.

Yes before they overlooked but now they are trying to reduce the number of students in their country by all means and are looking for ways to end post study visa after collecting huge amount of money from students from 2021 till date

It is true. Most people are not aware of this. They know the number of hours that you do using the unique NI which was assigned to individual person working in the UK. Although UK is still a good destination to study. However if it's money you are looking for on a study visa it's not possible. You can make any reasonable income with 20hours per week otherwise you will enter big trouble like some people that I know now.

But if it is career progression. It's cool. All the best champs

Please does a refusal from US embassy affect university decision in UK?
