Guy see eh, I’m not an FIRS hopeful & I have no plans of working at FIRS but if I does have interest, I’ll be ;
1. Determined, consistent and prayerful: I will photocopy my credentials including application letter and attach my certificates, I’ll submit my application directly at chairman office and I will collect the stamp acknowledgment copy. At least they will allow me access. After wish, I will constantly go to the chairman visitors room waiting to see the chairman. At least someone said one can see the chairman from 5pm. I don’t care if it takes me 2 months to see him. I will wait since I have no direct connection. Connect doesn’t fall from sky, you pray and make it happen, be determined if you have no direct connection oh…Otherwise eh…5Yrs you will be hoping on one man that has used your information to empower his people.

Those state Branch has zero powers to assist.

I when I served as a Corper and the at FIRS office was upset that they have no powers or chance to take their people but Headquarters will be sending new faces to them every year.

Design your own color letter headed paper in your name (your email should be in color to make it look sharp and good). Make sure you creat your own file no. Input an application letter addressing the letter to the chairman. Attached your cv and hold the acknowledgment copy outside the main envelope visible for them to see at the gate. Once you get to the gate, tell them you have a mail to submit at the y. They will allow you in for sure. Once you get inside, submit and collect the stamped copy. Make sure you snap the acknowledgment copy in your phone so you can just be forwarding it to whom ever that’s ready to help. Once you submit while still inside the building, you can then start thinking. Pray before going. This is the best time so You got to keep pushing.

FCSC’s Chairman, Tunji Olaopa, disclosed this at the maiden edition of the commission’s monthly seminar series held in Abuja

The Commission, according to Olaopa, will roll out an online recruitment portal that will be accessible to all Nigerians and which will allow eligible candidates to pre-fill recruitment forms and update them from time to time in preparation for the placement of adverts for recruitment into the public service and to the Federal service and in preparation for assessment and interview.


The Chairman also disclosed that henceforth eligible candidates will undergo computer-based tests and oral interviews with results collated and released in real time.

He further revealed that the Commission was going into out-sourcing contract with the National Open University and by extension with the t ission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) both as technical partners to take advantage of their infrastructure, networks and experience for online-accreditations, computer based test and examination as well as promotion-interview for officers in the Federal Service starting with Directorate level officers.

Olaopa also announced the introduction of computer-based tests (CBT) for civil servants’ promotion examination exercise in 2024 to phase out traditional paper-based methods.

He added that the commission will transit through the 2024 Promotion examination exercise from analogue to CBT in tandem with the modernization and digitization of Federal Civil Service core operations.


Olaopa added that civil servants will also be taking through some orientation sessions conducted by the Head of Service in the form of mock-test to prepare officers for the 2024 promotion examination scheduled to be held in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Citing COVID19 pandemic as a case in point, he pointed out that ICT were used to work remotely from office seamlessly, saying that the Commission will not be distracted by voices that believe that the initiative will not work.


He informed that apart from digitization and computerization programme being contemplated by the organization, there were other phases to be unveiled in due course once the approval of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is secured.
