Boss Dave, it is ridiculous and unfounded for you guys to be asking someone to show receipt of his item just so that you can see the price and use it as a "weapon" to negotiate the price of the item he has d. Clearance sales pricing happens with the context of current prices, so your focus should be on the comparing his stated price with the current prices of new items, and not the price he bought it at.

Take it or leave it. I have seen 6.5kva gen sold for over a million Naira… it’s not by force for u to buy. Anybody dat is interested wud pm me and we negotiate.

I don't agree with this statement, Clearance sales price should be determined by the condition of the item, how long it has been used or on ground, how urgent the seller wants it to go and how fair you want to beat the price of the newly sold item. Not all clearance sales are used, some are on sale because the owner just want to clear out old stock. Prices should be reasonable as long as it's not new and should not be centered solely on how much it is currently on the market. Just my own input.

Inbetween I don't have any business with what brought about the argument, I only saw a post that I think it's not 100 percent true and should not be the reason why people will come here to inflate price.

Okay a fair point, I just feel if we don't clarify that alot of people will want to use that as basis of hiking prices and justifying it base on current market price. If not the type of country we find ourselves in, that everyone wants to rip the other person off we should not be having this discussion.
Imagine dollar is currently going down and there's no changes whatsoever in price of things and people increase alot of price just because dollar went up even those with old stock. This country is a dog eat dog country and everyone just want to survive on the next person.
