Faleye Olushola, the Special Assistant to the Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, narrowly avoided tragedy on Friday night amidst the ill-fated helicopter crash that claimed the lives of his boss, wife, and son.

Initial reports from Tribune Online on Saturday indicated that Wigwe, along with his wife, Chizoba, and son, tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in the United States.

However, by a stroke of luck, Olushola, whose name was listed on the manifest, narrowly escaped death as he opted against boarding the ill-fated flight, choosing instead to travel by road.

According to ThisDay, Olushola had accompanied Wigwe, his wife, son, and former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), Abimbola Ogunbanjo, on a flight from London, United Kingdom, to Palm Springs, California, US.

Upon reaching Palm Springs, Olushola made the decision not to board the helicopter bound for Boulder City in Nevada, citing concerns about night-time weather conditions.

Opting to travel by road instead, Olushola narrowly avoided the tragic air disaster that claimed the lives of four others.

His safety consciousness was very high.

I don't know why I detest those rotors stuff.

It has claimed men like Kobe Bryant, miles Munroe and Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, a Thai businessman and the owner of the Leicester City soccer club in the Premier League.

Its safety records in the aviation industry should be one of the worst among flying machines.

When you have excess money you take extreme risks, and most times get away with them. Sebastian pinera, former chilean president and the 3rd richest president in chile, was days back was buried in a state funeral after being killed in a helicopter crash he was flying personally. Fortunately, his sister and other engers were rescued alive. The US aviation sector is in a mini crisis. A private jet also crashed into a vehicle, killing the two engers on board.

Pilots that have licenses for airplanes and helicopters always say that helicopters are much more difficult and tasking to fly than airplanes. Any slight mistake with a helicopter can result into a crash and death.

They have started their medicine after death. They should arrest him to explain what really happened to Wigwe, Ike Ndi Isoko. His explanation for not boarding the same chopper doesn't make sense. Why would he travel by road as someone based in Nigeria with Wigwe? Imagine president Tinubbu going to America and his assistant, Ngelele, decides not to board the same chopper with him, instead chose to travel by road. Does that make sense? This is the problem with Igbo people, they over trust this people with innate tribalism.

I doubt he complained about weather conditions,,, I seriously doubt he put it like that...

He prolly only told them he was scared or didn't feel like traveling by air.

He sees the death coming but was fortunate to make good decisions. May we never be unfortunate in our lives, may we never die in our prime year.

I understand the situation perfectly well. He is probably scared of heights.
If I have to be on air, it has to be on a plane, not a helicopter.
I rather ride on a horse than an helicopter.
RIP Kobe Bryant.

Gratitude To GOD for saving his life!

But I'll advice that he keeps things to himself for now because this is not the right time for "unnecessary story telling" as it is obvious the families of the deceased are still mourning their painful loss!

He should "quietly" give Thanks To GOD for saving his life🙏
