Streetinvestor2: Yeah. Morgan is actually cheapest. I thought they were considering the total fee in which it is even still cheaper at total cost of 1.26% to sell and 0.93% to buy. I guess other brokers will be doing above 2% total fee 1 Like |

Mankind2024: Not based on portfolio value, but based on transaction value. An investor with N10 billion portfolio size that wants to buy or sell additional shares worth N5 million can't negotiate for lower charges. But an investor with a N2 billion portfolio size that wants to buy or sell additional shares worth N1 billion can negotiate for lower charges 8 Likes |

rmx: In 2013, I requested Meristem to adjust my buying fee to 0.5% based on the benchmar @Morgan, they replied that they can only consider if my portfolio worth is N100M, at the time I was struggling to build an investment portfolio of N1m, fast and forward portfolio is smiling @ over a quater NGN Bili. Just waiting to cross the N0.5B b4 requesting morgan to adjust the current 0.5% to 0.25%. U will all know once it is granted. Investing for free is the ultimate. T212 platform does not charge Nigerian investors for global stock exchanges any commission. I was lucky to have opened an with them in 2019. As at today, Nigeria is no longer among the countries they accept. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Choiceguy:Thank you! I appreciate you viewing my opinion contextually sir/ma! The rewards or regrets of booking of profit is very subjective - on a case-by-case basis. What is the ratio of the size of one's portfolio to their annual expenses/budget? What is the age of the portfolio, and even the owner? What is the ratio of the portfolio size to the annual additional investments that the owner makes? How does the forward ROI (dividends + price appreciation) compare to the one-time profit? After booking profit, what next? Wait for a ravaging bear, divest the profit or take care of needs/wants? A 27year old whose N2m portfolio rises to N5m because of this kind of bull might not consider booking profit if he just got a new job that enables him top up his portfolio by 500k monthly moving forward. A 59year old whose N170m rises to N400m might book profit because it took 15 years (2008-2023) to re-experience a mad bull. They might not see/experience the next one. For me, based on my age, size of portfolio, annual expenses, projected size of portfolio (15year plan), alternative investment options, and other factors, the kind of profit that would have worth the fees+taxes together with the stress of waiting for bargain lows never came. 6 Likes |

Mankind2024: Thank you for this information. Do the T212 investors get their shareholding units reflected on the books of the companies they own? I say this because some retail "stockbrokers" have a structure whereby the investors are actually just occupying borrowed stock ownership positions. The more reason why Nigerians need to be careful when "investing" in foreign stocks. With most of those platforms, it is like buying NGX stocks and your name not being ed with CSCS, not to talk of shares appearing in your name. Same way Nigerians in diaspora are usually advised against investing NGX through some online platforms. Asking for education purpose. 2 Likes |

Mankind2024: Better start using Gpay to fund your trading ac. It cost nothing except the 0.70% transfer charges by T212 once you exceed total $2000 free tranfer into your trading ac. If you need further info on steps to use Gpay, check my past comment on US stocks alert thread. 2 Likes |

The beginning of a bear market is simply smart money taking profits, then forcing prices down for a a new bargain. Once they hit their target price, they will make their entry and drive the price up again as a Bull market. This cycle will always be repeated as long as the hunger for profits exists. Smart money will always hunt for bargains before earnings. The news is only a camouflage of real intention. Where there is no news, they will surely create one. Smart money buys on the way down, not up. Look for bargains too. EPS will always guide. Buy also at a bargain. Bears favor those with cash. To play with the “big boys” is to have cash to buy when they are buying. Yes, in a bear market. Par example, imagine smart money selling off a stock say at 34.00 and force the price down to say 22.15 so as to buy it back before earnings. It's all about profits. That's how it works. The rest just camouflage. Happy weekend. 13 Likes |

In other news, the ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) model predicts that Geregu stock will reach a minimum of #730 by Friday, representing an 8% gain. The model also forecasts that Meyer stock will hit a minimum of #9.3 by Friday, representing a 34% gain. We will have to wait and see how accurate these predictions from the ARIMA model end up being. ![]() |

Urgent Appeal to Reconsider Delisting from Nigerian Exchange Dear Chairman, The CEO The Management of OANDO PLC I hope this letter finds you well, but more importantly, I hope it finds you with a heart that still resonates with comion and empathy. It is with a heavy heart and deep concern that I write to you today, 10th February 2024, regarding the imminent decision to delist OANDO from the Nigerian Exchange. As you navigate this crucial juncture, I implore you to consider the profound suffering of the minority shareholders who have steadfastly stood by OANDO since its inception. These individuals have invested not just their hard-earned money, but their hopes, dreams, and aspirations in this company. They have sacrificed their life savings, shed sweat, and even blood in the pursuit of OANDO's success. Yet, their faith has been met with disappointment and despair. For over a decade, dividends have remained elusive, while the share price has been consistently depressed, leaving many shareholders in financial distress. The anguish and hardship faced by these minority shareholders can not be overstated, and it is imperative that their voices be heard and their concerns addressed. I urge you to that there is a higher power who watches over the affairs of mankind. As stewards of OANDO, you bear a solemn responsibility not only to your shareholders but also to the broader community. Proceeding with the delisting against the wishes and interests of the minority shareholders would not only be morally reprehensible but could also have grave consequences. By persisting in this course of action, you risk attracting generational curses upon yourself and your unborn descendants. It is a sobering thought, but one that can not be ignored. Furthermore, I must remind you that the actions of one individual can have far-reaching repercussions. Your association with PBAT, the president of Nigeria, who is currently embroiled in controversy and accused of detrimental policies for Nigeria, has already resulted in public scrutiny and condemnation. Proceeding with this selfish delisting would only add deep pain and sorrow to suffering shareholders and investors. I implore you to heed this plea and reconsider your decision. Do not allow greed and short-sightedness to cloud your judgment. the values of integrity, empathy, and justice that should guide your actions. By choosing the path of comion and fairness, you not only honour the trust placed in you by your shareholders but also safeguard your own legacy and well-being. Please, for the sake of all those who have invested their faith and fortunes in OANDO, do the right thing. #NO DELISTING OF OANDO PLC. Yours sincerely Anonymous investors Minority Shareholder, OANDO Plc 2 Likes |
