The said "sexism" was infact very important or probably the most important element that made Sokka's character arc and development one of the best in the entire thing. That's why the industry is so cooked. The ratio of garbage project to Quality ones favor the latter. Showrunners and Filmmakers have to be careful with their content, so as not to offend the gazillion weirdo activist circles with thier silly agendas and fetishes. Pandering to these lot would be mean there is little room left for clear thinking and quality. It's sickening.

The original creators of the OG Avatar show, left this Netflix's adaption because of "creative differences"....says alot.

Tbh, I was totally pumped for the show after watching the trailers, it seemed it would be a great adaptation but when I looked up the show-runner I just shook my head and hoped for the worst. The guy has been a leftist considering his tweets and the movies he had made. Also, none of the writers who worked on the original wrote a single parchment of the show.

Albert Kim - the show-runner was even forced to watch the show by his daughter so I just gave up- most of the time, it's actually obsessed fans that actually direct this kind of movies just like the show-runner of the One Piece live action.

Then the biggest bomb was when I heard the creators had "creative difference" and had to drop out. If they add a gay character I won't be surprised considering Netflix's past records. The only reason they're almost no changes in One Piece is because the creator ensured Netflix signed a contract that allowed him to have almost all creative decisions in the story.

What also disgusts me is an actress with no particular career ahead of her if this fails calls the original "iffy" which is seriously disrespectful! How can you call a show as progressive as Avatar sexist because a character is. It's absolutely abhoring.

The characters are likely one dimensional giving the fact that execs in Netflix are scared of character arcs and development. This show would have been in better hands if it was HBO

Honestly I was looking for towards seeing this with gusto and now the woke group have entered the equation. Can't they just hang themselves and leave the rest of us alone. So eager to be offended. If they did not sign any of these agreements for this show, it is most likely going to be a disaster. Gone are the days when talent, work ethic, and intelligence propelled people to top positions in large corporations like this. We now have diversity hires and whatnot. This could simply be another case of stupid people attempting to alter the work of intelligent people who created a show that has stood the test of time.

Just look at what they did with The Witcher; they kept changing the story, Cavill kept complaining, and the entire internet was calling them out on their nonsense, but they thought they were on to something until they ruined the show by the time they go t to season 3, and who knows what they are up to in season 4. Let us just wait for the audience and critics to respond.
