Boliboli760:Am not disputing the facts that doctors are human o, but u know they have the knowledge about this thing more than us because it's their Field and they've received d training and that doesn't mean they too don't make mistake, but in this case u telling her not to go for induction is wrong 2 Likes |

Good morning mummies. Please assist me with this concern! My wife had tear after given birth about three weeks now. Although she was given some drugs, which she finished taking i think within a week. The issue is that, a few days ago she noticed some discharge as though there was a pus. Meanwhile she uses hot water to clean her private everyday as suggested;she has never missed a day! Although she earlier confirmed that she felt she was healing as some of the stitches are falling and she could feel the wound are closing. But alas a kind of discharge like a pus! That leads to the question, please is thee a way to clean the wound and stiched area for it to heal faster and to prevent infection aside the normal hot water usage everyday? I would be counting on our suggestions and experience, thank you all. |

thedarkened: Sitz bath ( sitting for some minutes on warm water with salt or dettol) is the care given to stitches. You can check the area for her and see if there is boil around the tear from where the pus-like discharge is coming out. It could be her normal after birth discharge but if not then she should meet the nurses at the hospital of her delivery for check. |

Bs….. Good morning, gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday evening after I labored from 2:30am till 6:30pm.. I started feeling contractions by 2:30am and managed to wait till morning 7 am to go to hospital…which the doctor checked and I was 3cm dilated , by 12pm I was 6cm dilated and the doctor took me to the labor ward and broke my water cause the contractions were stronger… Omo that was when the pains became unbearable till 6:20 the water drained all and I vomited like hell and no more water again….hmmm I almost gave up but God made it possible by his grace… the gynecologist came and I was rushed for elective cs….. by 7:16 I heard the cry of my baby girl… God be the glory 22 Likes |

Hi beautiful mums, I'm experiencing something that is really disturbing me. I'm a 1st time mum & menses returned 6months after I gave birth to my daughter but since then it has been as if I menstruate every week or 2weeks. My period will just come unexpectedly. Before I conceived itt was regular 28days (even though I ttc for 8years before I finally conceived) but once the period comes today it may come again in few days time. And it's bright red & much, no clot. I complain to my Dr. But she said it's because I'm breastfeeding that hormone haven't return back to normal but pls sisters is it normal? Has anyone experienced this? I'm really worried because I'm trying for another pregnancy. My baby is 9months but not actively sucking anymore because she's eating solid food small small. Pls help. Thnx

Good morning oh Mamas in the house. I’m so late to drop my BA and BS but I’m here now. EDD kept on changing but the most accurate one was November 8th. I delivered my baby November 13th. For a first timer, everything went by so quickly. I didn’t even know I was in labor. I started feeling contractions strongly at 6am, got to the hospital at 6:30 and my baby was here at 12:30 weighing 3.4kg 15 Likes |

B.S B.S Birth Story I thank God for safe delivery firstly cos that's the ultimate of this story. I was told by doctor that my EDD is 18th December, scan center outside said 17th December, early scans has been showing early January. Doctor said if there's no show then I'll be induced by 25th of December. By 18th December, no show till 25th December. I didn't argue with the hospital because my period skipped for two months before I discovered I was pregnant, at the time I was still breastfeeding my first baby. As at the time I saw my first period after delivery, my baby was around 5 months. I didn't see the period when first baby was 6 months, all tests showed negative pregnancy test. I didn't see my period when baby was 7 months too, when I checked with pregnancy test strip, it then showed positive. I was then confused when I actually got pregnant. Scan was giving different dates too. In order not to take risks, I quickly accepted the induction advised by the hospital. The induction and epidural for pain was istered on the evening of 25th December, by evening of 26th December, the labour did not progressed past 7cm. Doctor said we should opt for CS cos baby's heartbeat was on the increase and I was in so much pain too. My mum and husband encouraged me to allow the CS, I told them I'm not afraid of the money it will cost or any other thing. We all encouraged ourselves. I went into the theater by 9pm of 26th December, after all the preparation, the surgery started around 9:30pm, due to the epidural I've used before and I was feeling pain after istering spinal block. The doctor just told the nurse to give me sedation injection. On receiving the injection, I just slept off. I later saw the nurse showing me my baby from a distance and cleaning up for her. When I woke up again, I was back in my private ward and it was almost morning. I later asked my family when the baby was brought out they said it took less than 30 minutes, just that they have to keep me and baby in recovery room. A nurse I asked for the time it took a patient earlier and she said they started the CS around 7 and they're done by past 8 that same night, so that encouraged me it won't be long. I am so glad it all turned out well. Thank God for safe delivery. mommafertile: 18 Likes |

Barmi30: Same Date with Mine!!!! Good morning all, I’ve been following this thread quietly, been hesitant to break the silence because I’m male and just following up to learn from others’ experience…it’s our first pregnancy EDD was 24th Jan, wifey had a checkup appointment last Saturday, 13th around 1pm and doctor told her to stay back. Soon as she informed me, I rushed out to get the last of baby things somewhere around Ago Palace, far away from our base. I was in traffic when Doc called me around 6pm and asked for baby things to be brought to the hospital ![]() I had to send someone to the house while I turned back immediately. Was still far away when I got called around 7:49pm that wifey delivered of a baby boy!!! No wahala whatsoever, just the intense pain and I’m now A DAD ![]() Big thanks to everyone who take the time to answer questions and share tips and experiences here; God will bless you all!!! 32 Likes 1 Share |

Orente21:Sowwy. That's the same I experienced with my third too. Keep trying foods, especially drinks. Something usually works for me. Also, you may want to look for promethazine tabs. Take one at night. You may start feeling better after a week or so, but if you're not comfortable with drugs in pregnancy, that's fine. As for the tiredness, I have no advice. I was tired throughout that pregnancy, taking care of two other children. 1 Like |

miraclebabyamen:Then it's safe, just monitor baby well after that. Self treatment is what isn't advised in babies because their systems are still weak. |
