I can't when last salary was not paid before Xmas celebration except maybe last year (not sure). So when people say it's because of M-M ticket, the irresponsible govt of Tinubu created room for that ascertion and it may not be far from the truth. There's no reason why salary should not be paid before Xmas. With all due respect to every other religions, Xmas is the most widely celebrated festival, reason why every successive govt have always tried to pay salary before the celebration

How on earth will a govt not pay her workers for Xmas and about not to pay them for New Year too. That's unacceptable

For those ranting, if people mentioning M-M ticket pains you then you have the next available transformer to romance. Bad governance but if election is tomorrow you will still vote for the same individuals based on religion and tribe.

Civil servants not owed December salary, says FG

The Office of the ant General on Saturday said the salaries of Federal Civil Servants have been paid.

The Office also noted that civil servants would receive their wage awards as soon as possible.

Sunday PUNCH reports that the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, in a statement issued criticised President Bola Tinubu’s istration for failing to pay civil servants.

In a statement on Saturday, spokesperson for the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, said the development was “insensitive and unacceptable”.

Ologunagba said Tinubu’s istration had turned the country into a “huge internally displaced persons camp with millions of Nigerians becoming beggars and observing the period in hunger, anguish and misery”.

“It is obvious that the non-payment of the December salary critically needed by the workers, including our gallant security operatives at this period, is consistent with the atrocious character of the APC istration to weaponise poverty and further suppress Nigerians to surrender to totalitarianism,” the statement reads.

The PDP described the situation as a “heartless act by the anti-people APC istration”, saying it “never happened in the 16 years of the PDP in government”.

However reacting in an interview with Sunday PUNCH in Abuja, the spokesperson for the Office of the ant General, Bawa Mokwa, said the salaries of civil servants had been paid.

Don't mind that shortsighted folk. He's seeing bad leadership, but, no, Islam is his problem.

This is exactly what they want. You should continue fighting; religion,ethnic,tribal etc while they are they eating up your monies.
Try to put your heads together, dont fight each other but heads together and think of how to stop recycling of currupt leaders.
There is not religion, tribe, or sect when they are there sharing the cake, only you here abusing/quarreling/fighting each other.

I heard from an unreliable sources that thirteenth month salary and wage award will start dropping from Tuesday. Please can anybody in finance ministry confirm this juicy and yet uncertain aspirations? Cheers
