its a very complex issue, first of all
we need to know the dynamics in her marriage, a men can be the head of the house, but might be a poor person in creating a future for the kids

I don't have anything against her building a house secretly but I have a problem building it in her father's compound, first this is not a wise choice considering the future of her kids.

I wouldn't bother myself with what she does with her money. It's hard to take such in, but money, possessions and even humans will away no matter how long.

A woman who left her fathers compound in the name of being married, then goes back to build there is not fully invested in the marriage, so deal with this in mind.
