13 month is entirely different. Is just an additional salary apart from the usual monthly salary. The allowances you are talking about is different. some agencies pay it inside your salary. some pay it as upfront . But 13month is totally different from what you just mentioned.

There are actually 13 months in a year. It's the monthly salary system that is short-changing employees in this part of the world.
Before anyone argues about 12 or 13 months in a year, please note that there are 52 weeks in a year, simply divide that by 4 weeks that is claimed makes a month.
In other climes, weekly or bi-weekly wages helps to eliminate this "short-changing" but here where salaries/wages are only paid monthly, some organisations in their wisdom and magnanimity decided to pay the 13th month. It's not actually a gift, you worked for it but many will never understand this unfortunately.

Meanwhile, upfront is totally different from 13th month. Upfront is a lump-sum of allowances that should have been paid equally across 12 months being paid in advance at once at the beginning of the year, hence the tag "upfront".

Long story her job is entering my eye but Alhamdulillah I’m starting a new job next month so my high b.p has come down 😂 but to be fair, FiRS just got approved for hazard and meal allowance recently so most likely a lot of people don’t know about it.

Based on my calculations meal and hazard you claim FIRS received combined is not up to 300k for new entry. 305k you quote for NPA is not even up to level 9 salary . Some FIRS guys are leaving to NPA. FIRS is number 1 in rev but salary they are not top 10 because of the much staff they have except the new chairman changed some policy.

NPA is better than FIRS in of basic salary. FIRS is better than NPA the other way around; NPA has far too much more politics than FIRS. If you are a politician, go to the NPA. If you are not and don't like too much stress, go to FIRS. There are fewer conflicts of interest in FIRS than in NPA.
