Where is the money that he saved from subsidy removal? Is that what he used to sponsor hundreds of people on a fun cruise to Dubai? 🤡 27 Likes |

Just imagine wickedness! Qudus and I have been on this street, moving mad just to defend the mandate. But it has reached time to go Dubai, dem go pack people that didn't even know when the February election was held This injustice is heart-wrenching and impossibly distasteful. 😭 23 Likes |

![]() William Ruto worst Kenyan president ever showcasing his myopically foolish self . Kenyan really got it bad this time , no wonder all Kenyans are running to middle east lately to do house cleaning job for the Arabs, because this fool just like Tinubu sabotage Kenyan economy completely. Uhuru Kenyatta will be laughing at Kenyans now, because he warned them that this dunce has nothing to offer them. 29 Likes 2 Shares |

Tinubu is currently paying more subsidy than Buhari and yet we are still buying the fuel over 3 times the price of Buhari's government... 17 Likes |

William Ruto is as clueless as Tinubu, if not worse. The only difference is that Kenyans Voted for Ruto and are seriously regretting it. However, Pablo Ecowas was not voted for by 70% of voters. Therefore, only agbado miscreants can wail, howbeit in silence.

I understand that subsidy regimes are massive corruption structures that scare away free market investors, and that removing them is like freeing self of a bottleneck. But the problem is that, I don't think any underdeveloped country can develop by playing the good boy of the economics textbook of IMF and other Breton woods. I suppose we need a combination of positive, ironclad, interventional and massive government machinery and a merit based, development -hinged private enterprise to achieve true development. Even the American govt, the leader of the developed world, is still subsidizing some of it's industries and nurturing them for international competition/national self sufficiency. Why would we discard the much needed public -private partnership model on the basis that we cannot defeat and remove the abuses that come with it?

This makes me to President Mugabe who would've looked Tinubu on the face and tell him the bitter truth not this small European puppets we have now in Africa giving themselves pat at the back. Truth is, subsidized oil should be a RIGHT in Nigeria owning to the fact that petro and diesel are tied to electricity generation in Nigeria. Millions of businesses in Nigeria rely largely on it for power generation and survival. A Nation that has stable electricity can't remove subsidy and Nigeria with no power supply will follow suit. All over the world, govts subsidize essential products and commodities for it's citizens. Oil producing nations like Algeria, Angola, Libya and Egypt all sell cheaper subsidized fuel in Africa 7 Likes |

Subsidy is still being paid and collected. Just that the beneficiaries are now determined by the presidency. 3 Likes |

Even in life you have to make difficult decisions. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The problem is no one believes the government is doing it for the people's sake. So far, they still have not showed any reason to. |

MEEVEET: Exactly. What's the landing cost of petrol today? The landing cost of petrol and diesel is not much different. If diesel is selling at N1200/litre without subsidy, petrol should selling for at least N900 without subsidy, but is selling for between N600 to N650. So who is paying the difference? NNPC and the government is just hiding the fact from Nigerians. 3 Likes |

1.Tinubu did a partial removal, not a full removal of subsidy. 2.His hand was forced anyway. The loans taken for the past 10 years or more have caught up with us, and the IMF was not going to give us any more loans until we did something 3.Anyway, I wait till Dangote and company all come on stream. If fuel is still costing below N700 after, my suspicions would be heightened. Anyway, never ever trust a Nigerian politican. P,S : The truth is subsidy has to go completely. But the truth is, African leaders don't know how to take hard decisions. 3 Likes |
