Is it number or sim card... If na number, over 12 yrs....people change sim card every day now and still keep their old number... If u r still using same sim card from 20 yrs ago... It's means u ain't using a 3g or 4g network on your phone and you're still browsing on 2g or E....

Sim card is different from line, anytime I want to upgrade my line, I'm always told to do a simswap which means relinquishing my old sim card for an upgraded 4G or 5G simcards . For you still using old sim cards, does that mean your old sim card is still edge or 2G sim card? How do you upgrade without simswap?
