There are over 30 Igbos elected or appointed into government in Lagos alone, including Representatives, and LGA Chairmen, amongst others. When you add the entire Southwest, that number increases to 50. There are also over a thousand Igbos in the Lagos State Civil Service, and hundreds more in other Southeast states.

But has the Southeast reciprocated the gesture of other geopolitical zones? Rather than blaming Sanwo-olu for 'reversing diversity strides', should the critics not first ask what caused it? When Anambra state d civil service jobs for 'indigenes only' on September 14, 2023, where were the critics? It is incredibly selfish and hypocritical to expect others to treat you in ways you are not prepared to treat them.
