5 or 2 pieces are no deal definitely but at least considerable numbers of cells.
At 3s a:
24A pack = 36 cells
60A pack = 90 cells
100A pack = 150 cells.
Note that this 24A pack powered a 32 inches for 7hrs and a 32' tv plus gotv decodere for 5hrs. Now, imagine hours on just 3 5w bulbs plus few phones charging on this 24A pack.

The advantage of using pvc pipe as a battery bracket, is that you can change any cell without dismantling the whole pack.

I charged them, but not fully charged, I have solder all of them together, but only in parallel connection.
While in parallel connection, they'll balance themselves.
This morning when I tested the voltage, they were.

Not bad but you need to know the voltage of each cell. Since you didn't have the right devices to work this process effectively, disconnect all negative terminals and observe again for self discharged cells after some days. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Without needed patience your build will turn bad.

I waited for more than 3 weeks in my case just to be sure of things.

Who dey build lithium ion pack no dey hurry o.

But before soldering, I tested all cells and removed the ones that self discharged within that 2 weeks frame of waiting for my package from aliexpress.

If u have access to a buck converter u can build an adjustable charging system.

Note at 11.0 or slightly below it won't power freezer due to surge. Every others work even at 10v

But I just want to build this 12v 40ah system for outdoor use.
DIY power station, I'll be making use of the ups I bought from valto since 2020 for the setup, I'll meet a furniture to build me the case.

the UPS is no powering the li-ion batteries, the batteries is the one powering the UPS.
Any battery can serve as far it's the rated voltage for the UPS.

You can use lithium batteries with your UPS but you will need a compatible battery charger. Don't charge with the UPS
