Okay, now I got what meant

Once the total return from a stock is higher than the yield from Fixed Income investment by a huge margin there is opportunity to make profit from the stock

In 2020 Zenith Bank came down to as low as N10, dividend was N2.70k, earning growth was about 8%.

Dividend yield 27% plus earning growth of 8%, that is a total return of 35%. Long dated bond was about 14%, interest on secured bank loan was 21%.

Zenith Bank increased dividend from N2.70k in 2020 to about N3.10k in 2022.

An entrepreneurial investor who took a leveraged position in 2020 based on the estimated total return is now sitting on about 200% profit within 3 years

The 2020 case was a very rare occurrence. It was a fortune making opportunity for risk takers and sound investor. Another very good example is UCAP

The last time TBills was trading at 18% , I think it was in 2016 , we knew how it affected the stock market. Attentions shifted to the fixed income market and a lot of good stocks tanked. NSE lovers that picked up good stocks at very low prices at that time and held till date are reaping bountifully now.

But in any case , it is still a win win situation. All I see is opportunities in both markets . Still lots of opportunities, a lot of money to be made.

For further insights, please do you mind sharing the Scheme document or a link if available online.

From the attached, it looks like they would treat the N17.42 and payout from retained earnings as dividend distribution; 10% WHT applies.

My take.

As advised by them, exercise caution in dealing with GSK shares going forward.

This GSK transaction seems to be a big win for shareholders. From the Q32023 financials to date, a further N9.40 per share (more by FY2023 if results are maintained) would be returned as capital. A final payment (if any) is also possible before conclusion.

My takes.

As advised by them, exercise caution in dealing with GSK shares going forward.

It failed to attach.

Another big announcement coming from Oando...

Some people have refused to align with Oando speculative news, few said nothing good can ever come out from "wale" Others said its' gamble.

For me I think it is time for wale" to release Oando from his prison, for the past ten years miniority share holders benefited nothing from Oando. grin grin grin

One thing is sure: some people will either make very good profit or huge losses from Oando.

Due to the current state of the economy and to ensure that the masses get valuable, UAC Foods Limited, makers of Gala and a subsidiary of UAC Nigeria Plc, has unveiled a new Sausage Roll brand called ‘Kingsway’. Speaking at the launch held at its Ojota office, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, UAC Foods Limited, Mr. Oluyemi Oloyede, said that it would offer consumers an exciting choice in the Sausage Roll market, especially given the current state of the Nigerian economy. “We are giving our teeming and ing consumers a chance to have an alternative product in the market. It is targeted at the value segment of the market, which we strongly believe will meet the aspirations of our consumers.” He said a major difference between the already established Gala and the newly launched Kingsway is size is the weight of 75g, which is an upgrade of the 65g of Gala.
