Depends on what u do. I came to England 26th of September, 2023, I am an IT person, saw a computer warehouse where they recycle computers in my neighborhood in Birmingham and walked into it to notify them I was available for jobs. They asked of If I could fix Computers and tested me for 3 days. And I ed. I've received my first salary for 40.8hours which is about £462 thereabouts. I've also ed nextdoor app to notify neighbors that I fix Computers, I got a message from a primary school teacher to format her PC and fix RAM. I made £75 from that. Just bought a bike from facebook marketplace to aid my movement. I'm walking into a local pizza delivery shop to notify of my availability for deliveries on weekends.

You just entered one month and already complaining. Keep calm. It takes time to get jobs in a new country. It took a friend 8 months to get a job in the US and that's a country with jobs flowing everywhere.

Don't mind the bro. Just 1 month, I spent 5 months sleeping and waking up on No 10 Paerdegat street, Brklyn, NYC before I could land my security job at Bronx.

This things take a process.

You are right but that's gambling. So it becomes a 50/50 thing. Some are lucky to get job immediately the arrive and their permutations work for them while some won't be that lucky. I don't like taking stupid risks. If I did not have money to last me for 1 year when i migrated, i wouldn't have left Nigeria

I keep saying it, if you want to migrate whether through school, PR etc ensure you have enough money to last you at least 8 months to 1 year. If you don't, you will be under pressure from the day you land and you become desperate. Unfortunately things don't work out well for people who are desperate as they are prone to making mistakes upon mistakes.

There is no job as at last year.. those that came last year or 2 years ago saw jobs here and there from question i asked.


but now everywhere is filled. i heard last year recruitment agency were organising job fare... but now no more.

When someone sold lands, cars, houses and other properties to japa, even after landing an okay job there, how many years you wan take gather those things back while still maintaining your bills in that abroad. This shows e no easy anywhere especially for those from thirld world country like ours.
I believe if those foreigners hear the amount we spend to japa, they will think we are mad because majority of them no get that kind money in cash.

Skill is very important. Get a skill before moving. When my wife and I won American visa lottery back in 2013, the man we were going to stay with told me to acquire specific skill. He gave me about three options to choose from.
