English proficiency test is a MUST. Be it skilled worker or health work.

It now depends on you the way you want to prove your English proficiency.

UKVI accepts any of the following listed here.

(My honest opinion) ===If you are a BSc holder and you have funds, BSc degree certificate, letter from your school stating that you were taught in English and your official transcript. And you want to do a care Job, just go for NARIC evaluation. Save yourself the headache of IELTS.

I don't know o.

Get someone with a dollar or pounds card to pay for you while you give the person the equivalent Naira value.

I think only few banks allow you use your Naira card for FX transactions and the limit is very low. I think sterling bank or so. I don forget.

For the physical card, you can use a GT bank dollar card or Wema bank dollar card. You have to make a request for it and have a domiciliary with either bank and pay dollar into the domiciliary and then transfer to the card using your online banking.

For the virtual card, you can use Vesti virtual card and its quite effective. the app and get verified. I used it to pay for my wife Naric (Ecctis).

From the trend, it seems VAC Notification on collection comes first before BRP mail.


I feel the BRP mail is system generated that comes in days after decision was taken on the application (Just my thoughts). And before VAC sends you collection email. They might have heard from DMC days before based on the kind of service opted for(Just my thoughts oooo).

Firstly, the following are the SOC's related to data analysis - 2135, 2136 and 3539.
Secondly, all the above SOC's are eligible for the SWV however, only the first two are on the SW Shortage Occupations list.
Lastly, I wouldn't know what exactly your job/role entails, because that's what determines your SOC, but, if you deal in IT and would like to apply under the shortage occupations list, then you may want to use 2135 (as a "Data Communications Analyst" only). But if your role entails finance, or you write just Data Analyst, this may be regarded as 3539 instead, and is NOT on the shortage occupations list.

However, you may want to confirm from your prospective employer which SOC your job falls under. Cheers.😉

Depends. I arrived 15/09/23. Was asked my role and job description. Any family in the UK? Did I perform similar work before? Where I will be staying? Also requested to see my COS and offer letter.
