Check the storage of your phone. Free the internal storage to at least 2Gig, clear cache and power on the phone again

Hello chief, my redmi 7 just went off today and refused to come on. I tried charging it but it did not charge. I also tried pressing the volume button and the power button down but still, it wont come up or show anything. Any idea what could be wrong? I was charging it and wanted to unlock it that's when it went off.
