Here in US, Nigerians are well recognized and given kudos but YORUBAS are just excellently pronounced and exceptional....Often, you want to be a Yoruba so as to feel a sense of belonging. Well, considering the fact that almost all the embassies are in Lagos, its nothing you should beat your chest about. Any individual from the south west can easily come to the embassy on a daily basis and does not hesitate to re apply after being denied visa.

So its not surprising that the Yoruba's have the highest population in the US.

Are the Yoruba called a West African tribe by your source or yourself? In the west, they are very careful and wouldn't describe the Yoruba or any other civilised people as a tribe. They would rather use people, people group, ethnic group , and ethnicity. Let's stop descrbing ourselves as a tribe.
