Like, I got an ission while in Nigeria but now traveled to Canada with visiting visa which has been converted to work visa.

Can I now use this ission which I got while I was still in Nigeria to school in Canada?

The literal meaning of self sponsor is clear. If your dad or relative is bringing 80% of funds then he is your sponsor. But why are you worried if you aren't self sponsored except you have been working or doing business for a while then it's expected you significantly contribute to your education.

Am just concerned about age.can a 30 year old still be sponsored by his dad.Am married with a daughter and I don't owe a business buh I just my father business 2021 and just on a pay roll..have paid first semester fee buh he wud be sending second semester fee and living expenses into my and I wud also add my little savings to it..am just confused cos some pple are saying i shd go as self sponsor since he has sent all the money ..

Seems you like getting worried and worked up unnecessarily because this your question has been answered here. Your dad is your sponsor. He should write a sponsorship letter and get it notarized. Also do gift deed for the money sent to you and ensure all ing docs to prove how your dad got the funds are genuine. That's all.

Regardless of whatever visa u hold, if u do not have a valid study visa and u want to go to school in Canada, u will have to apply for a study permit. Some schools will even ask u to provide it as part of the required documents. Nd when u apply, make sure it’s application for study permit made outside Canada

I do not think so because while searching online, I got to understand that people with work permit can now enroll into a program which is a latest information. At the point of entry they ask simple questions like
1. What you came to do in canada.
2. What school you will be attending.
3. The course you will be studying.
4. Whether you have made payment for your fees.
5. LOI, LOA and who is your sponsor.

The policy has restrictions..work permit holders are eligible to study in Canada with work permit ..only if the work permit was issued on or before June 7 2023...or had a work permit application in progress on June 7 2023..
If the work permit was issued after June 7 2023, you are not eligible..
It even has a further restrictions if used to study in Canada
