I would advise that if you have time on your side, DIY is the best plug.

I'm not traveling out of the country yet and my international port expired some years back...If I've the cash soon, I'm going to renew my port using DIY (N25k) for 32 pages.

You guys are just enriching the immigration officer's pockets.

My port will expire in October 2024. I went to the port office (Ikeja) today to make an inquiry. I was told that I could start immediately.

As a matter of fact, I made payment, and I was scheduled for the first week in September for biometrics and photo capturing.

Please I need help. I was told my port was ready on the 17/07/2023 and I have been going to the Alausa Ikeja port office but they cannot find it met the 2i/c and the PCO yet they cannot find it. .... and let me share my experience which I believe to be useful for many here.

I did it through the DIY on July 6th which I captured on 10th. When I got to the immigration center in Kaduna, I chose any of the officers who I believed he's serious without knowing him. I told him to help me for capturing on time since they use to frustrate those that go for DIY at times. We bargained 5k, he went for verification of my NIN, within 5 minutes, I was called for capturing which I can say he dribbled the queue.

I was called by him yesterday that the port is ready, within just 35 days and the port is with me today.

My advice is make sure you involve any officer into the process to avoid delay.

I no even dey go like that. I just dey always fix my other outings for Thur/Friday since na that same side i go , i go just drop by to get info and move. Time no dey to dey beg.
