3/7/2023 -Application created
24/7/2023 - Application Approved

Could someone kindly help me out?

My mom applied for US VIsa two months back and was given a drop-off appointment date for Sept 12, 2023. Her interview was then rescheduled within less than 24 hours to July 21, 2023. . In the email, the consulate said "you will be able to select a different appointment date beginning July 22, 2023".

She could not make the appointment because she traveled to the UK. We have been trying to reschedule her appointment but keep getting the message in the photo saying no valid record of her receipt. This is the same receipt booked for the initial interview which the embassy rescheduled under 24 hours.

Please if anyone has experienced this, kindly assist. Thank you.

Young prince, please how did you update the code after rescheduling? I heard the code on the appointment must be the same with the one on the confirmation paper, please how did you effect the change? Thanks

Yes you can, so far as Nigeria was country of issuance it can be either in Lagos or Abuja. It’s the country of issuance that matters.

Try using another network service. It can happen if the network connection is poor.

If the purpose of your trip is not in the future, like 10-15 months away, and your intended travel date is in 2024 or thereabout, don’t put yourself under stress of applying and the financial pressure. There are no dates available for interviews in 12 months. The possibility of getting a date for NIV is slim and thin.

Make sure you save a page’s progress after filing the page, I got logged out a couple of times too, I was frustrated.

5 months is a lot of time to stay if you claim you have a business or any source of livelihood in Nigeria and especially if this is your first travel to the USA. 2-3 months is also a lot for a first timer. The V.O probably thinks you won’t return most especially because of the length of time you already stated, he/she will think it’s convenient for your daughter to make you stay longer than stated because child care is expensive in the USA.
Also, if your child is a citizen it’s easier for her to file for you than for you to go through this rejection stress after 24 months of waiting.

As of right now I’ll say she’s good to go but let’s see how things go in February.

I cancelled my visa application due to mistake i made on my application form after I had done my biometric. Please, how do I go about getting my port back since I will be using it for my new application. An urgent response will be greatly appreciated.
