Please my brother tried to use his credit master dollar card from Gtbank that has 144 usd which is more than 185 cad to pay today for visa and Biometrics but it declined. Please does it mean network is bad or the 144 usd is not up to 185 cad or is it from the card?
Note: He paid Sweden visa recently for someone with the same card

Pls urgent response is needed

It’s possible issue is from Gtb or the card isn’t well funded.

It is acceptable. That's what many people use. I suggested other means to proof the authenticity of the submitted pof for him.

Hello guy. I wish to accompany my wife who already has a study visa to canada. I applied for a visiting visa and did my biometric on the 26th of June but haven’t gotten any response since then. How long i’m i supposed to wait for ? Or i should email IRCC to take a look on my application since my wife will be traveling in August and my SOP states thats I’m accompanying her to help her settle in.

People like us waited for more than 8months and some other people waited for 1-2years before receiving BVL and decision on their application.....
Allowed them do their work

Telling them you want to accompany your wife on a study VISA may not be a good idea o.. you better relax oo

I saw some people get in a space of 4 weeks after biometrics

Applications are never the same.
Your wife student visa will not even influence their decision.
They might fast track your application if you had a valid US visa or Canadian visa in the past.

Just be hopeful

Actually, you can influence their decision to expedite your application if there’s a genuine reason for that.

For example, I submitted a study permit application for my uncle’s wife on 21st of April and her baby was 5 months then. Her visa was approved on 30th of June and on the 1st of July, I submitted her baby’s visitor visa application(she’s 8 months now). Last week, after she got back her stamped port, I attached a copy of her visa and sent email and web form to IRCC stating that the baby who’s 8 months and still breastfeeds needs to travel with her mom by next month. Two days later, they requested for the baby’s medical. In fact, they even sent the medical form to her email directly and still sent to her portal.
So, in such genuine situations, unlike accompanying your wife to settle in, they can expedite your application processing.

Yes but they didn't do anything different. They applied and waited... You can't influence their decision..... They can give you in two months if they so wishes..... Just relax and wait...

Can I walk in to Vfs Lekki to submit my port or I need to book an appointment? I don't want to use the courier option because of the stories of delays I have been reading here...
