It also has to do with their culture. The food we eat and preparations are tied to our traditions.

Wanted to cook banga and realized I wasn't having extra cans at home, so I kind of changed it into ofe akwu.

If there’s one thing this useless heat is good for, it’s making my okra plants and wild flowers patch start to thrive more .
Roasted purple top turnips for myself and Okra soup for the Mr; will be coming up later. And I’m splitting the excess tomatoes and herbs with my neighbors.

The YouTube videos are just dirty street people. In an actual restaurant where they have to inspection, it’s way different. Indian food is one of my comfort foods. I was actually at one yesterday. They know how to cook and their restaurants are clean.

They are blaming climate change for the unpredictable changes. Two days ago I was parked outside for a few hours while I attended a function and I could read the temperature inside the car rose up to 126 degrees. Outside was like 110 or so. Unheard of.
