The first wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, May has reportedly initiated divorce proceedings against him.

According to reports, May and her legal representative visited a court on July 10 to file a petition for the dissolution of their 18-year marriage.

It is however, said that Yul has been evading being served the necessary documents.

The primary cause of conflict between the couple stems from Yul's decision to marry actress Judy Austin as his second wife.

In April 2022, Yul publicly announced the birth of his son with Judy and their subsequent marriage.

May has consistently expressed her disapproval of Yul's union with Judy, stating that her marriage was once stable and loving prior to these unprecedented events.

Recall that in recent times, Yul has faced significant backlash on social media for what some perceive as his hasty rebound following the sudden loss of his first son with May, Kambilichukwu, who ed away in March.

Critics argue that the frequent sharing of videos featuring Yul and Judy spending time together suggests that he has moved on too quickly.

They believe he has not adequately mourned the loss of his son to warrant such "happy videos" of himself and Judy being posted online.

It's so sad seeing a man you labored with for a whole 18yrs to suddenly turn around and spit on your face and as if that's not enough she lost a son and he didn't mourn but rather doing skit with the other woman all over social media.
