Im glad you grew up in zaria. Well, everything in this life is based on choice. Most parents that sent their children to NMS is choice while most that dashed away from NMS is still choice. I know so many people that after NMS and just 5 years in Unit, they never returned while some continued with army work while some fot itted into Academy. Everything is based on choice and not the training that you think it's brutal. It's just good to have a military experience because it will help me scale a lot of things in life. By the way 2013 NA should be 70RI because 2013 NA has two batch

As a drill instructor in the US Military, you cannot physically abuse anyone. Physical training like runs and push-ups are different from punishments. No one is forced to do anything against his will in training.

If you can't meet the physical requirements you'll be disqualified. Stressing one beyond what he/she can take or directly hitting someone is abuse and not training.

What's the difference in training of soldiers(private) and officers(lieutenant)?
I noticed officers still get sense soldiers.

Is it that officers' training is more lenient?
Meanwhile, officers train longer(9 months) than soldiers(6 months) in the army .

Now can your average Nigerian soldiers do that ?

They call something "smoking". It a series of punishment. They won't hit you o, but body go tell you when you're done. Recruits will literally be crying

We're talking of physical abuse.

An O rank cannot even touch an E rank in the US army unless you want to face court martial.

At worst you can be placed in detention or on duty. If it is during training, you restart training from the beginning or do push-ups. If you break down, you'll be dropped.

Telling someone to clean all base toilets or take two shifts is better and more productive than beating someone.

They should give drills that will build your body and not beating people like animals....
They should give endurance training and not drying people inside the sun.

This is why it is so difficult for them to win asymmetric wars......they are trained to brutalized, cork and shoot.

I was suppose to the military by enrolling in NDA but my waec was really bad that year
Most of my colleagues ed then
Some went through NDA while the rest ed through recruitment
After doing my GCE Boko Haram have started dealing with the soldiers really much
I lost some close friends which made me decided not to again
A lot of soldiers in wanted me and my set to the military cos we later became really close to some of the soldiers but Im not ing again age isn't on my side anymore and I don't have that ion again

There's a big difference between training someone for strength, agility or endurance.
And just straight torture and brutalization.

Every Nigeria military own training is the latter, just straight torture, very barbaric and backward
