A lot of persons have tried to discourage me that since it is a college, denial from the embassy is on a high side. However,I choose not to believe this.

I would also like to know if i should apply for a one year program or a two years program. Furthermore, What are my chances of getting a PR if i eventually opt in for a one year program while getting a one year PGWP?

Lastly, when is the appropriate time to apply for a January 2024 intake? Thanks

Certainly false. Alot of ppl here have gotten visa approvals for various colleges including this Seneca College. Infact I even hardly see universities here. Most are colleges either for post secondary diploma programs or graduate diploma programs

Go for what your funds can comfortably cover considering the exchange rate now. Also you can do 1+1 in Cananda if 2 years pgwp is your concern. Meaning you go for a 1 year study then go for another on completion of first program and extend you study permit in Canada.

Who has gone through the port submission and collection by a courier service. Does it take time before the port gets to one? I was sent a mail on the 22nd of June, that my port has been sent out but I wasn't sent any tracking ID nor have the courier service ed me.

I chatted with vfs today and they maintained the port has been sent out but the Abuja team hasn't sent tracking ID to them to forward to me. Does it mean they sent it without a tracking ID and why haven't it gotten to me after 8 days...?

No, it's not compulsory for normal route.

Meanwhile, if you want to go NSE route, you need IELTS (either) academic (or general as they have recently approved for SDS. I'm not sure if this new update will suffice for NSE)

There should be no issue. Just have all your documents handy including POF (bank statement either on paper or soft copy, mobile app or something to show your POF). For some, nothing is checked except correspondence letter, ission letter and port etc.

If you are a Nigerian, and not applying for a PR or citizenship, it is not compulsory to submit police report/clearance certificate.

You probably want to apply for a study permit, if this is true, you don't need a police report/certificate to submit your application.

If you are applying from Nigeria for study visa, you don't need police clearance certificate. Save your money

This is mythological.

Whether college, polytechnic or university, majority have the capability to award certificate, diploma, advance diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree and post graduate certificates except master's degree and PhDs which are only awarded by universities.

It doesn't matter which one you go for.

You can go for either a one-year or more-year program.

For a one-year program, you can become a PR but with risk if only considering CEC.

To take care of this risk, you should target institutions in Atlantic Canada so as to become a PR through their easy PNP and AIP. If you choose to not target Atlantic Canada, you should be ready to either get at least TEER 3 job to get their PNP or do 1+1 course which will enable you get 2 - 3 year PGWP. These options are if CEC is no more possible due to your inability to get at least a TEER 3 job immediately after completing your 1 year program. I repeat, "it has to be immediate," else, CEC will not be possible. This is the exact risk which PNP and other programs apart from CEC will eliminate.

Some other provinces make their PNP easy for international students who study in the province e.g AINP, MPNP etc.

Now is a good time to apply for Winter (January) intake.

Is that good enough to scale my ission chances or is there any other college I could apply to for undergraduate programs that accept C6 in English

While all institutions of higher education have their ission requirements, many of them in Canada do not require English language proficiency test from Nigerians because English language is our official language or we have 2 or more years of secondary or post secondary education taught in English language.

You do not need the Duolingo Test except specifically told to do so and not exempted.

It is not compulsory. If the conventional scanning of documents seems bulky, stamped eStatement is acceptable. eStatement is high quality and has low file size.

MBS has one great advantage over others-- no need to send for statement confirmation. This will drastically cut down on processing time.

Am asking because in Dec 2017 I applied thru an agent.In May 2018,he told me that the visa was denied for not declaring my USA 2014 refusal.I demanded to go through the application that day before submission but he refused that everything was ok.I never knew anything like previous denials and he didn't ask me either.I demanded for the email used for the application but he didn't give me.I have lost with him.As it stands,I want to reapply for either tourist visa or study permit but I want to be sure there were no other reasons for the denial and that I wasnt given a ban(tho this May 2023 made it 5yrs).Secondly,could age be an issue?cos am 40 in few months away.married with 3kids.
