Drivers are complaining of “unfair working arrangements” by Uber and Moove, and some are getting kicked off the platform. https://restofworld.org/2023/uber-moove-impounding-drivers-nigeria/ 4 Likes 1 Share |

This is citizen oppression indeed. There should be a regulatory agency monitoring the execution of these contracts to avoid underhand dealings. The drivers could try to cheat. On the other hand Moove could be very autocratic and inhuman if their activities are not subject to regulation. Any non Governmental organization can take up this. It bleeds my heart that someone would devout daily payments and make over a million Naira in loan repayment but denied vehicle due to a month or two default.

We ask Allah to guide BAT and whoever he appoints to ease the affairs of the teeming masses! May it be for all of us as we wish! Whoever looks down and hope for the failure of the new government will fail woefully in all endeavors as hoped! And whoever is hopeful for the good and betterment of the new government and Nigeria will surely encounter good and geometric increase in serenity and prosperity! May all policy saboteurs be arrested and doomed! Aamin! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigeria is a place that defiles business logic. And if we really dig deep, it's due to its people. We are inherently greedy and the only thing that puts us in check is when we know that there are consequences for our actions.

Sad but I don't really pity the drivers. An Uber driver will crawl until trekkers walk past you or deliberately enter behind a parked korope loading engers because he wants to add ordinary N300 to his fare. They are very criminal-minded and deserve all the evil coming their way. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

You are supposed to pay back your loan in daily installments but didn't pay for 30 days because of 'fuel scarcity' and the car was impounded and you are asking us to condemn the company for not being considerate, a company that has staff to pay, run generators, pay taxes, etc. Haaa Nigerians una wicked o ![]() 34 Likes 2 Shares |

Seriously, it's hard to do business in Nigeria. I know what some unemployed Nigerians can do when you give them opportunities to grow - they make you regret it!
