Alex Fegurson once said that a player's prime is 24 to 28 years. Liverpool had most of their players in that age bracket in the past 4 years. That's the height of a player's physical ability. They rode the players with heavy metal football to success. They should have won more if not for the abnormality of having Pep's Man City around.

The problem was they probably lacked foresight or they were naive. Most of the core players have past that age. They moved on only Mane instead of more. This season, they paid the price.

I blame the technical department though. Now dey have to overhaul the squad. The front line have been invested in. The defense still have a good age. The issue now is the midfield. Sort that out, and Liverpool should be back next season.
